Posted 1 year, 7 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Good afternoon,

This is your friendly Scottish neighbour baking some traditional Scottish Shortbread.

Have a wonderful afternoon.

Greetings!

I hope you all are alright. My health is improving, but the strange and exhausting cough is not disappearing. Besides, I can get back to work on commissions and study and work on my tasks regarding my degree.

I must admit that I had some trouble starting with my Game Design & Programming degree. Ironic, as that's the opportunity I've been fighting for years. I felt pretty overwhelmed then, and I tend to rely on overworking to numb myself away, even if just a wee. I am aware that's not good at all.

But about my tasks, can you believe I've worked on sculpting two spaceships (X-Wing from Star Wars and Class I Dreadnought from Star Trek) to practice Low Poly sculpting? I can tell you that Sci-Fi is not my thing, as I am all about fantasy, medieval, gothic stuff, etc. I am pretty proud of the results. Besides, the review from the professor was more than positive. It makes me feel motivated enough to keep going.

I am going to show you the screenshots of my sculptures:

Well, that's all I have to share for now. I am going to a great pace with commissions and all, and I will try to keep going with writing some more of my character's information soon.

PC, Health, Heatwave

Posted 1 year, 9 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Greetings,

I hope you all are enduring this crazy heatwave-I don't, that's for sure, haha.

I wanted to inform you that my repaired PC is working smoothly now, with no red flags of any component breaking soon. I hope so, anyway.

But I also wanted to let you know that I've been ill for the past few days. I suffer a lot from lung sicknesses and have stage 4 asthma. That, plus the scorching weather here, makes me feel exhausted, breathless and not good at all.

That, plus the unexpected loss of someone important to me, has been making me feel a wee low mood recently, and I do apologise for that. Sometimes is just ironic how everything happens at once. Hard to organise your mind through it. But I will get over it eventually.

So, I do apologise to recent customers if I need more days to finish your artwork. And to the people interested in making an Art Trade with me. I am just recovering from all of this, and I don't feel like it now.

Stay hydrated, take care,

Best regards

Greetings

First, I want to confirm that my PC will be at home during the next week, and hopefully, everything will work as it should.

But this bulletin is something I wanted to make long ago regarding my characters’ gallery and information.

  • About their pages: Because of a mistake I committed a couple of months ago, my character’s CSS broke, and now you can see how it’s non-existent, leaving their pages with a dull and clumsy appearance. That will be fixed as soon as I get my PC back (because I won’t lie to you: the broken template is driving me nuts!).
  • Actual characters: I’ve been hiding some characters over time, and I will keep doing that. I think it helps me feel more focused on gathering the information for the characters I leave visible to the public. So, please don’t worry if you don’t find that character you like, because they will all be visible again.
  • New characters coming soon: A lot is going on, so stay tuned for the next couple weeks!

And I would like to share with you something that I thought was impossible at this moment in my life: I was accepted to enrol for a master’s degree in Game Designing and Programming. I… will have the opportunity to bring to life, my 3D models! To learn a lot and boost my skills to the highest standards.

I am thrilled because I started the degree at the beginning of this week—as I don’t have my computer, I had to begin with the GDD (Game Design Document) with lots of writing homework. You know, I feel that for the first time, I am doing something that allows me to put on scene the best skills I have, and, more importantly: my passion for it, by writing, drawing, 3D modelling, and the rest of processes I yet have to polish and learn… I am on my way, folks!

Best regards

PC News

Posted 1 year, 10 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Greetings

I have good and bad news about my PC—the reason why I haven't written a new bulletin before is that all the matter has become a true odyssey. I don't even have my computer with me after more than a month.

To make it short, the company that sold me the power supply refuses to pay any costs for the reparation/to buy new pieces, no matter what I do or say. I even tried contacting the customer-whatever organisation, but you'll be surprised if I tell you how useless it was—In fact, it was a mere waste of time but, of course, I had to try everything in my hands to solve this.

So, this was the bad news. Now the good news: after insisting the technician check everything and let me know what's still working and what's not, he told me yesterday that not all pieces are burned, even if at first he insisted they were burned. My processor (an i9 9900KF) is working, and I found a relatively cheap motherboard with the correct socket (LGA 1151) to substitute the previous one I had. The tricky thing is I have to buy a new graphics card—a pain for the pocket. As a 3D artist, these bad boys are expensive, but there's no remedy. I will do my best to get the best deal.

It is not like I don't believe when he says, "the power supply you bought from us is perfect and works perfectly", but… No, I don't fully believe it. We will see what he says about this too.

I estimate I will finally receive my computer in a week or two.

I will keep you informed.

Best regards,

- Norbert ''Corvus'' H.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday, I was quite impressed that many of you knew about it and I received quite a bunch of DMs. Again, thank you. :)

Possible slowness answering

Posted 2 years, 11 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Hello, I would like to apologise if, by any chance, you are experiencing any little slowness in the commission you asked me for or either with my answers. The situation is that I currently work two jobs that cover all my time, and when I do have some spare time at night, I fall asleep right on my chair in front of the screen. My intention is far to make you wait; in fact, that's one of the things I detest the most, as I take my work as an artist very professionally. But I must admit that I've been feeling exhausted, which has affected my health. I wouldn't like to make it worse, so I am trying to be more responsible with my rest and not skip as many meals as I used to. I will be working as fast as I can to bring you the quality artwork you deserve as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

- Norbert ''Corvus'' H.

(SouOrtiz here, I'm just helping Norbert with his news, sorry for my english! )

Hello again everyone! As you know I needed an important surgery for my back, so, the last wendesday I was called to have it . The sunday I travelled to the islands to have the urgency surgery.

The process took 5h , since I entered to the surgery room at 11am and it finalished around 18:00h more or less. The surgery had a few minor complications, but I'm fine after all. Today (03/April) I had complications and had to go back to the hospital because a drain was removed while I slept .

I will need a month to be recovered from this, and maybe I'll be disabled until then, but I'll do my best to get  better soon.

As soon as possible, I'll return to the comissions, but from my condition, they would be on hold from now. I hope all of you understand! Thank you so much for your time, also,  here's a photo as evidencedd3pknc-e3729b35-8f05-4571-bf6e-fa82c19e

------------

[04.18] Hey Norbert here! I'm finally at home. I must say my trip was too horrible with tons of delays and everything and they got us to a different airport in the other corner of the country so was really crazy wtf. But after the big effort, I'm here!

Just wanted to tell you that I'm good and slowly recovering -with tons of back aches haha!-, and even if maybe it's not really right to me I'm working again! So I would be soon sending to all my customers sketches or such as finished works as well!

Also, I want to be active here again, posting drawings that my friends did to me, or old works of mine so! I promise I will be online more constantly now!

Thank you so much again for your understanding, for the best wishes and your help, I have no words to express how grateful I am right now!
