WHAT IS DURA?

DURA is two things: one; a floating city, and two; the name of the universe my characters exist within. You'll often see me talking about 'DURA' as both a city and a universe. Context provides clues to which I am talking about at the time.


DURA the city is a vast man-made island off the coast of Japan, created with the sole purpose of bringing people from all across the world together as a neutral city that is both seperate from the world, and the combination of the world's effort to unity. Over the years, a lot happened both to, and within DURA, and as such it has strayed from it's original goal. Now it stands as a reminder of humanity's greed and insatiable hunger for power.

DURA the universe is a story of an alternative timeline to ours, with the main point of, what if, at the turn of the 3rd millenium, humans slowly started mutate and develop powers? How would this change how the universe continued? And what if there was something much bigger then us at play? It delves into morality, what truely is considered right, and about what might happen if we truely did find something more omnipresent then humans...
