Habibi was the first to welcome him to the group, and continued to be extraordinarily helpful and ever so patient and forgiving of his poor social skills. Riktik has no idea where to even start repaying all the things she's done, but tries his best. He's not sure what to make of Habibi's strange situation--friend of the sins, constantly reincarnating but never remembering, forced to grow up faster than even an aarakocra should. Riktik wishes she'd had the chance to experience a happy childhood, and that she could stay the happy, innocent bird she was when he met her. The best he can do is promise Habibi a home that welcomes her back, and follow her instructions for what she wants from him.
He feels very protective of her. He's wound up thinking of her something like a little sister. He wants to take care of her, as he wants to look after the rest of his family, even though it often leads to him taking on more than he can handle, or blaming himself when he fails to protect her from something. More than anything, he wants her to be happy. Life has been horribly unfair to her, so he will do everything in his power to keep her safe and provided for.
Of everyone in the party, he fears for her the most. Not because he has no faith in her abilities, far from it--she's perhaps the most necessary part of the party, even if she never lifts a blade or draws blood, and one of the most knowledgeable people there. He fears for her because her youth means she has no experience to refer back to for how to handle things like loss, grief, stress. He knows, or at least hopes, he dies first. No older brother wants to see their little sister die first. She deserves a long, happy life, and he wants to give her the resources for how to reach that point.
Habibi latched onto Riktik as soon as she saw him. "He's friend shaped." His charming lack of traditional expressions, unable to understand some metaphors or idioms, and general awkwardness made Habibi fall platonically in love with this bug. Likely due to her upbringing as an Orphan, Bibi is quick to adopt people into her family. She has a stronger bond with Riktik than the other party members, and even orphans that she grew up with in the orphanage. As she grew up with the party and went through various hardships and traumas, the party continued to treat her as a helpless child, while others put too much on her shoulders as if she was an adult. Not Riktik. He has always treated her as a little sister, and taken her feelings seriously while still treating her like she's a younger child/teen.
As she grew to a newly turned adult, Habibi is turning more towards taking care of her older brother and getting him to open up to her. It is not his responsibility to shoulder every burden, and he can lean on her more now and let her help with what is plaguing him. They have talked in depth about life and death, and her biggest fear is becoming another burden or loss to him. She hopes that he doesn't have to see her die, even if she selfishly hopes she never has to lose him first.
She was done adventuring until Riktik needed help with things with his family and village, and immediately agreed to help. He does not need to ask, as Habibi would give her life and limb for her older brother (much to his horror). She hopes that once things settle, and Riktik is free of the things trapping his peace that she can live the rest of her life with him and his family. She is learning the world is never kind enough to give you what you plan for, but as long as it is a life lived with her found family, she feels content.
????????????????? CHILD??? Hello child, hohohoho. (I guess I should take responsibility for it)
Hi dad :3
My dear old fuckbuddy. Grand friend, very soft, inside and out. A shame I didn't get to say goodbye before my untimely demise, but hey, hopefully he'll get word that I died as I lived.
