Diamonte treats life flippantly and irresponsibily- he's really only out here to have fun. He's particularily fond of flirting with others and seeing how far he can get, making him an absolute pain in the ass to interact with. He's got no shame, and will honestly try whatever to get into someone's pants. He's a big show off and braggart as well, having quite the high opinion of himself, and tends to turn conversations around to talking about him quite often.
He's unfortunately emotionally stunted when it comes to making actual friends without the ulterior motive of having a fling, and even the only person he regards as a real friend, Saturday Solace, he initially ran into with this motive. Coicindentially, they both had approached eachother for the exact same thing, and amused, they gave it a shot and still hang around eachother, pointing eachother in the direction of assorted pretty people they 'hung out' with, because that's what good friends do.
Diamonte has the power to transfer someone's emotions and 'half' of their conciousness to a gemstone for a set amount of time. This leaves the original body as somewhat of an empty slate, although they retain their memories and can talk and such, they just lack emotions and will to do anything. Depending on what gemstone he uses, the time period can either be decently short or long. Usually, the standard of time a person's conciousness can be trapped in the gemstone ranges between 34-42(.0 because I'm immature) minutes, although, if he seals them inside of a diamond, this time period lengthens to 69 minutes.
Diamonte uses these powers mostly for self defense, seeing as he's ridiculously defenseless and weak physically. His hero outfit has quite a few diamonds embedded on it, which, at a first glance, looks like decor, but they can be used to seal conciousnesses into, meaning that it's decently difficult to attack Diamonte and get away with it.
Diamonte was born to an upper middle class family, always wanting more in life. When the time came, he abandoned his home life and instantly signed himself up to the Emperors's originazation, figuring if he made it, then he would be set for life, and he'd end up becoming famous and well known. The Emperors accepted him, due to his power set and how possibly helpful he could be during hero missions, and Diamonte was pleased.
Unfortunately, he grew bored with this and started experimenting with things he could do to make his life more exciting. Being 'charismatic and positively the most handsome hero out there', in his words, and given his, well, for lack of a more elegant word, immense amount of horniness, he figured that a fun activity to keep him busy would be to fixitate on someone and try and win their affections, and eventually, yknow, stay the night together, and rinse and repeat. This tended to work out rather well for Diamonte and unfortunately for his originization, he grew much more distracted and focused on this personal goal of his, versus actually doing his hero work.
His hero level and power set is the only thing that really keeps him around the Emperors nowdays, as most of the higher-ups are thouroughly done with his attitude in life. Diamonte knows this, and since he figures he can get away with mostly anything stupid due to his nice power set, he tends to cross the line a lot. The higher-ups in the Emperors are probably just biding their time for a perfect scandal in where they can get rid of him for good.
During his investigation phase where he was trying out his flirting goal, he ran into Saturday Solace, owner of the Captain's Daughters, and was amused to learn that they had both approached eachother for the exact same goal. This eventually led to their odd friendship/partnership of sorts, and they both tend to reccomend those hot people they spent time with to eachother, making it mutually benefitial in that odd way. Diamonte helps Saturday find that one person they haven't added to their list yet, and Saturday reccomends him people as well.
