When Mae Chouko witnesses a break-in at her best friend’s house, she discovers the secret he has kept for years: Kaio Asgell is a bearer of mystical wings, and he has the ability to grant them to Mae too. Awed by his secret and the thrill of flight, she becomes entangled in the enigma of her companion’s life, but troubles lurk beneath the surface of her new reality.

Her transformation attracts the attention of a rival from Kaio’s past with mysterious powers of his own, who will stop at nothing to enact his vengeance. Mae is caught between her best friend — or perhaps something more — and her own safety. After all, Kaio might have a place in her heart, but Tornin’s power strikes at her memories and fears.
