Kaio Asgell is a singer with crow wings and a secret laboratory in the basement of his family's home.
Kaio has blond hair and ash grey bangs, pale skin, unnaturally bright blue eyes, and a crow tattoo on his back. When his crow wings appear with activation, so does a black sideways-V pattern over his left eye. Kaio's eyes can change colour with his emotions, which is a side effect of gaining the wings. describe better later.
Kaio often dresses very casually, wearing t-shirts and three-quarter sleeve shirts, sometimes with flannel or with images on the front such as an unenclosed sad face symbol or crows, pairing them with jeans, often dark ones or acid wash grey ones. For his Iron Filings performances, Kaio will wear less casual clothing, including one concert outfit which consisted of a tight sleeveless shirt and torn tight jeans, both of which were black, as well as a long white coat reminiscent of a stiffer version of a lab coat.

- Kaio was created on August 24th, 2013, in the afternoon. His design has remained near identical to his original one, excepting his wings and the tattoo on his back.
- He previously appeared in an unreleased novella and two unreleased multi-book manga projects as a supporting character. He did not have wings in the novella, and had common loon wings in the later manga project. He gained his crow wings for Rainbow. In all versions of his story, his family was responsible for the wing-giving laboratory, and he eventualy became Mae's boyfriend.
