Considering the recent Twitter news, it was enough motivation for me to kick my own ass and make a new Tumblr, something which I've been meaning to do for a while. This was just the final straw. Lmfao.
Here it is! Feel free to follow. I'm going to have an introductory post up later today most likely, and will begin queuing things from my old blog to get it up to speed. I want to use it primarily for my art and OC info, while my Twitter is more spur of the moment thoughts and liveblogging.
You may notice that it's connected to a custom URL; that's because I finally made use of the website URL I had been parking on (mostly for consistent image storage for my old comics). I've never done anything custom with CSS before beyond tweaking themes other folks made, so this was actually pretty exciting, haha. (And also one of the reasons it took me a while to make such a thing; it was very intimidating too...)
In the future, I would like the site to have its own about/contact/etc. pages instead of external links, but for now this serves its purpose.

Hey! As you may or may not know, I redid my Carrd recently to include commission info on it, and updated my terms/prices with it. Begone are the days of me trying to shove everything on a Twitter image set, now I can WRITE TEXT AND UPDATE IT AT WILL!
ANYWAY, I have a backlog I took over the holidays that I'm still getting through--been between a few projects lately, so commissions can't be worked on all the time.
Currently I am open just for icons (which are a larger style than I was offering previously, so I need new examples!), and Ko-fi doodle requests.
When I'm caught up on my backlog, I will be offering my new experimental style (again, so I can have examples that aren't my own OCs)!
Once I get those in, I'll start taking commissions for the other styles again! I'll try and remember to write an updated bulletin when I do, haha.

I'm really happy about this!!! I redraw a lot of pics cuz I find it funny and a good challenge but I do feel kinda bad about riding other people's jokes' coattails sometimes if you know what I mean...

Hey! Been a while, but I had a recent brain blast regarding the elements of my fantasy setting, Rixile, and wrote up a whole bunch about them as two new pages to its TH World: The Ten Elements & Elemental Theory.
It's been a long time coming, but I've always wanted some sort of "system" for the elements in this story, but I didn't want some rock-paper-scissors type chart like Pokemon or something, I wanted to focus more on interactions than perceived strengths/weaknesses. It was hard creating something that was simple visually but also different enough that it felt new and interesting...my old folders are littered with weird glyphs and arrows surrounding the 10 symbols and whatever as I tried to figure it out. But now I finally have something I feel like I can be proud of, that makes sense to me, that I can say I made!!
...The downside of this is that, now that I have this, I have to go adjust a lot of the things I already wrote...since it's foundational stuff involving the planet and gods and all. KIND OF affects everything else...
I've added notes on the top of certain pages, indicating that they might be changed in the future, and I'll probably have to revise the gods' bios here on my account as well, but yeah. My brain is definitely buzzing about the setting again.
Anyone on here have a website they use to like, ramble about OCs primarily? If so how do you like it?
I guess I'm looking for a place like that since Curious Cat shut down. I guess I'm looking for a blog service or something like it, where you can post text and images and people can maybe comment or submit questions?? Toyhouse doesn't feel like that to me, since it's more a character archive. Tumblr seems like the obvious option but I'd like to avoid something that pivots more toward social media, since I get a little wrapped up in them "engagement" "numbers" and I'd like to avoid the anxiety, but it being a website is a must, since I'd like to have something to link to people.

P.S. Not to say anything's going to happen to my Toyhouse here, I'm just looking for something a little looser. I'm a bit perfectionistic, so TH to me is more where my "completed" and nice-looking character bios go, I don't really find it comfortable to just post random shit here beyond doodles, lmao.
I kinda lost steam there at the end but I'm pleased with my output regardless. Kinda wish I could've been more consistent instead of frontloading it all though...
But I'm ready to go back to personal art now! I really gotta get going on drawing characters I haven't yet. And adding more OCs to Art Fight too...I tried to get out the "priority" ones this year, but in theory I'd like my TH and AF accounts to have the same rosters.
