anyways, LAKE SHORE DRIVE is officially OPEN! It’s just a casual thing, I might do events if I have some free time, but it’s mainly just a collaborative space to post furries (they don’t have to lesbians, I just have a problem lol)

Basically, it’s an Open Rp world for ANY ANTHRO ANIMAL (including hybrids and original species WITH PERMISSION!!!) It takes place in the fictional county of Lake Shore, which is similar to modern day West-Coast USA. It’s been a really, really small pet project of mine, and I finally wrangled my brain worms together to produce coherent word salad 👍

Feel free to submit any anthro character or rp and stuff! It’s completely up to you!

I want a pet so desperately bad. Since losing my spider, I’ve been hyperfixated on pet stuff. Animals and Pet Care have always been a special interest of mine. But now it’s become an IMMENSE. Been spending this month watching so many puppy training videos, kitten toy videos, and so so so many bio active reptile enclosures.

Unfortunately, my current living situation is not safe for any sort of mammalian or reptilian pet (for some reason i live with a group of animal haters D:< ) So i have to wait to move out to keep any kind of living creature.

Might start getting back into commissions so I can save up more to move out. I really need out of this place. Being without pets has been destroying my mental health. Ugh hate being deprived of my special interest :(

WARNING: Slight mentions animal death (NOT THE SNAKES! They are fine!)

So… remember the snakes I talked about? they were adopted this week, but some else… BUT ITS ACTUALLY GOOD! They went to a lady who YEARS more experience than I do. She used to own Ball Pythons, but stopped after a while due to illness and to her oldest snake passing away. But recently she decided to get back into the hobby and got the two I was thinking of getting. She showed me the two steps up for them and they’re HUGE bioactive dream mansions (much more impressive then what I could’ve done haha)

So long story short, I will not be getting the snakes….

BUT

I GOT A TARANTULA OH MY GOSH OH YEAH OH IM SO HAPPY THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER OH MY GOSH. Just brought them home, letting them setting in (they’ve had a long day lol) I love them dearly. They are a Brachypelma hamorii (Mexican Red Knee) and they currently live in a 20 gal with tons and tons of substrate haha. I’ll share some pictures tomorrow, gonna let them rest and it’s too dark to get any good pics.

I’ve wanted one (Especially this species) for longer than I’ve wanted a Python. They were my first choice of pet, but I was always worried that I’d lose them or they’d be too much to handle… but then my coworkers helped me realize that this is a spider… and I’m over thinking it lol.

ANOTHER WARNING; this is where I get emotional (in a good way)

It’s been now 1 year since I’ve lived without ANY sort of pet in my house and honestly having no pets has made me feel a bit more depressed… genuinely I take meds now. But having this little guy has boosted my mood, just holding their little container in the pet store and buying their substrate made me feel extremely emotional. Right now I’m kind of in tears because I never thought I’d be able to get into the terrarium hobby BUT NOW I AM and I’m just so… so… HAHAHAYAHAUWHAHASHEUSJ

I still will be doing a “fundraiser” but instead of going to my pet, i will be picking a charity (specifically for animals or reptiles) to donate to!

I just held a snake for like 30 minutes and was just blown away. I need a pet snake guys you have NO IDEA!

(Edit: Forgot to say: This won’t be an impulse adopt. I’ve been researching snake care for a couple of years now. But now that I actually have a job close to animal Products and better living conditions I can start taking it seriously)

Anyways I’ve got some good news! (No bad news yipppeee)

GOOD NEWS #1: Got a new job!! WOOHOO! Hopefully this one will be less chaotic and a get to work with animals which is a major plus!!

GOOD NEWS #2: I may have miss OC-tober prompts (again) but this month is NaNoWriMo so I’m giving myself the task of writing things each day this month. Whether it be small profiles (like today) or short stories.

A few weeks ago, I got attached to this game that I bought (Planet Zoo. It’s so good. Might share screenshots… and fan characters… you’ll seen). It had all my special interests in one space: animals, plants, graphic design, just like everything, dude. I was HOOKED. But then my laptop crash (rip) so now my attention is finally off that game and back on to my little funny guys on this website. I’ve got big plans for myself regarding them, I just hope I can make them tangible enough to share with you guys.
My brain is kind of bursting at the seams right with various ideas. Kind of in my low effort era so if you see profiles pop up with no images, it’s because Im trying to quickly release ideas to prevent my mind from imploding with chaotic creations that wanna escape containment so badly.
