Mercury is a bit wary of Ash, but then again he's wary about all the foundation employees and personnel. Outside of that the two get along quite well. Ash is a weird dude who talks with the weirder things that the foundation hides from Mercury (what's an 'SCP' anyway?), but he can't be that bad can he? He helps dress Mercury's flesh wounds anyway. Ash has a calming effect.
Don't tell anyone but Ash may or may not be crushing on Mercury. Shhhh
Mercury has several feelings about his killer. Most are of the fear and murderous rage variety. He doesn't enjoy his state of maybe-kinda-stasis all that much.
Zacary cares about Mercury about as much as he does any of his other victims. Which is to say, not at all. Zacary is too busy doing Zacery things to remember the face of one of his countless victims.
Blizzardstar has always found the Tangleclan tom interesting, even before they started talking. While it took a while for her to warm up to him completely they have been together ever since. She misses the old days when they were young and could tussle and spar freely without achy joints.
Cavernpool has known Blizzardstar for many moons, going as far back as when she was still a warrior. He loves her fiery personality and can't help but want to tease her when they're around eachother. He loves his mate dearly.
Ambrose first met Cassius on the day the Mercenary was hired and brought into the castle. They got off to an extremely rocky start— with neither being able to stand eachother's presence. The news of Cassius becoming the Prince's bodyguard came as an extremely unpleasant surprise for both parties. In the Prince's mind Cassius was nothing more than a rarely-spoken, no-brained, blood-hungry oaf. Yet, as the two managed to coexist the initial resentment faded. It was Cassius whose heart had softened first which would have easily surprised every person who knew him and how he had lived around his ward. Ambrose fondly remembers when the Knight's feelings were made known even if the circumstances had been rather terrible. While they still keep up the appearance of a clashing guard and ward in public the confines of private are where they truly become candid.
Cassius had hated the coddled Prince the moment he was assigned to him. Everything about the little male evoked disgust in the battle hardened Brute's mind. He was soft, small, arrogant, and Cassius could've swore the fucker had been wearing perfume. When he was assigned as his guard it took much of the Brute's self control not to protest and instead hold his tongue in front of the Prince's father. However, out of the King's eyesight Cassius would truly make his feelings known; ranging from verbally tearing the "arrogant little prick" a new one at every mistake he made or coldly ignoring him until he absolutely had to act to protect Ambrose. This way of living went on for a long while, bickering making up the majority of their interactions— until one day Cassius had a realization. All it took was a visit to one of the Prince's elder siblings to sow the seeds of change in the Mercenary's mind. It was then that he began to realize there was more to the youngest Prince than what met the eye. Sure he appeared rather spinless and soft— but in front of his siblings and immediate danger Ambrose offered composure and a well hidden calculative nature not seen before. Cassius became fascinated and perhaps a different feeling became to grow the more he observed his ward. The confession was borne out of a dangerous situation which later became a silver lining in both their minds.
The Mercenary had protested Ambrose's proposal to act as though nothing had happened between them in public, but would eventually yield under his lover's reasoning. In order to keep themselves safe and throw off the King and his spies, he begrudgingly continues to act with contempt towards Ambrose.
Cassius is a stoic, terrifyingly clever fellow... And he harbors off feelings towards the King. While he respects him deeply— he simply does not like the man. Cassius faithfully serves the purpose he was hired for but despises how the King has bound him in the palace making the Brute feel as though he is only a marionette to be used in show. The two men often come head to head behind closed doors when tensions are pulled too taunt. While he does love Ambrose, the Mercenary feels that deep down their relationship is a way for him to act in rebellion against the king.
King Alabaster is a shrewd man, and trains his own men. The knights and guards of the palace undergo hell much worse than the literal hell of their Homeland when first allowed into the fold of imperial knighthood. The act of hiring a mercenary— a notoriously well known butcher of a man at that— came as a shocking surprise for many in the bastion. Truth be told, Alabaster keeps Cassius close in a way to exert his influence and might as a King. Not only does he have the man dubbed a Mercenary King pinned under his claw as a hired worker he can watch Cassius in case the scarred Brute tries to spark the fires of rebellion. Despite his constant surveillance Cassius has sparked a rather intense relationship with the youngest prince with motives unknown. Alabaster would likely have Cassius quartered and strung if he found out.
Ambrose has mixed feelings towards his father, the King. From a young age he was lavished with the finest a noble's life could offer— until he had came of age. Ambrose held no known desire for the throne and that was well known to his father. So his father's sudden cut off on affection and doting cut quite deep. Resentment festered in the wound to his heart and he has distanced himself from the King which he secretly knows hurt him. Pride and spite keep him from mending the bond. He hides his affair with one of the King's hired mercenaries with the knowledge if they are found out it will likely end disastrously.
While the King loves his son, he finds him to be too frivolous. He has offered the world and more for his youngest born son— one of the favourites of his children— yet as the years progressed Alabaster began to worry he was too lenient towards the young man. He became much more strict in the later years, evoking a sense of resentment from his son which was a source of sadness for the old man. He has not become aware of his youngest's calculative nature, and would find it hard to believe his son could hold any true ambition. The King also doesn't know of Ambrose's rompings with a notorious mercenary that the King had hired not too long ago.
Milkbelly adores her mate just as much as he does her. She had known from the moment they first locked eyes that she'd follow the lanky tom to the ends of the world. She adores doting on him and never strays too far from the tom.
Maplewolf adores Milkbelly. It was a passionate and sweet love at first sight— and he hasn't fallen out of it since. He considers himself her protector even if he knows she can handle her own, and is rarely found far from the tiny molly.
Myha finds Eūk to be rather interesting; but more for the wrong reason. He makes it rather known how he feels she is simply an old woman who has sat for too long and gotten too full of herself. He has traveled over many lands, and now he finds himself falling in love with the snowy territory he so happened to fall upon. It was without doubt in his mind that he would settle in this tundra forest— up until the hag had rushed upon him demanding his departure!
Eūk seems to rather dislike Myha! She hadn't left her home in a long time, rarely going out further than to retrieve tribute from the village she guards. Her introduction to Myha's existence only happened because she ventured out to figure out why her tribute had dwindle significantly— which of course led to her learning of a stranger who preyed upon the cultivated caribou herds.
Hemlockbreeze seems to perk up at the very sight of Moonminnow. Those of her clan always wryly remark about how she seems to wander to the silver she-cat's side at every gathering. However, they usually chalk it up to Hemlockbreeze's friendly personality.
Very few things can ruffle Moonminnow to forgo her quiet and mysterious personality— but Hemlockbreeze is exactly one of those few things. Many of the Clans take note of her aloof personality, and how she gracefully saunters among her fellows with a perpetually icy nature. Yet many fail to notice how she'll subtly dote on their enemy clan's best hunter. The ice at the core of Moonminnow's heart always seems to melt in the presence of her partner.
Fiji enjoys Quince's company a great deal! You'll never find the big ol dutchie too far from her autumn friend. She might act as though she doesn't like the cuddling— but it's really just a ruse. Quince never fails to get her flustered!
Quince adores Fiji and is always quick to settle up to her side given the chance. Always a bit of a lovebug, and an outright cuddling fiend!
Sweetthistle will hiss at the mere thought of Appleshade. She finds her too loud and too nosy. Appleshade constantly would butt into Sweetthistle's business and drive a rift between the third party.
Appleshade's feelings are very clear. She utterly detests the small she-cat. They've never liked eachother, as she feels Sweetthistle is horribly manipulative.
Alaunus loves Eileithyia dearly and he's never too far from her when he can help it. However, even if he hates it sometimes, he has to spend time away from her in order to protect the group. He has trouble showing his feelings though.
Eileithyia loves her mate just as dearly as he does her. She finds his clumsy attempts at affection incredibly endearing to watch.
