Velaris

One of the most prosperous countries in the north, Velaris takes up much of the northeastern land of Acanthus.

As part of the Aurora Borealis, Velaris is one of the most influential non-Empire countries in the world. Its major city, El Nath, is known for its rich artistry and diverse trade center, and all of its citizens are well-educated and taken care of -- poverty is practically instinct, as communities aide each other selflessly. Snow-capped mountains surround the landscape, and boreal forests line every path to every town or city. It is one of the colder regions of Acanthus, but fire magic keeps people warm without destroying the beuaty of nature.
