ABOUT
Tiger Crawl Home is a long running story project & headworld I've been developing for several years now about trauma and recovering. It's about surviving in a world that fundamentally does not want you in it, about drag, transness, found family, gay sex and men who want to eat the stars.
The story follows Damian, someone who has been particularly chewed up by this setting and grew with a birthright of ingrained suicidal ideation, as well as following the characters around them. Complicated religious and species dynamics, how those dynamics trickle down through generation to parent to children to friends and how to place yourself within and navigate trauma so you can all come out better.
Setting
The world was created by the two major gods Auberon and Abaddon who survey their world with a detached omnipotence. In a world of purposeful planned creation warring against the greeds of the first made species, Demons, otherwise known as Chimera, emerged from the ground under a blazing red sun. Their emergence became the boiling point for many issues in the world around validity to exist without a god or exist under non standard ones. The power in the world is held by those with a clear creation point and a overconfidence in their right to exist. Demons are alienated from other species in a similar position to them by the fact they all carry the "Face" of another species, an alternate form that quickly earned them the reputation as face stealers who do not belong in the world.
