This is a universe I've had since middle school that takes place in an urban fantasy, magical girl- and superhero-inspired setting. I'll most likely turn it in to a kinetic novel.
The plot revolves around the main cast fighting the Nightmares, shapeshifting creatures made of darkness which emerge in the nighttime and wreak havoc on Norview. However, only those with a special power known as a Talent can see these monsters. No one is sure where they've come from, or how to stop the menace...but Niketa Das has founded the Talent Agency to learn more about the threat, and hopefully end it for good.
Meanwhile, the main character Lily is charged with secretly protecting Cliff, who has an unawakened Talent that could alter the world if harnessed, but doesn't know he possesses it. Unfortunately, his much more dangerous half-brother knows about this power — and intends to steal it from Cliff along with his life.
