digitaldesignation's Bulletins

Greetings!

So I've been having some art motivation and computer issues recently (rip my old laptop), but I would like to start drawing more. Especially since Artfight is soon? How??

I'm on a Star Wars and Detroit: Become Human hyperfixation streak right now, but I'd like to do some clone-related stuff to get myself back into drawing. If I'm gonna be stuck on my own ocs I'll at least do some freebies because I know this will get the gears turning again. Literally just yeet some ideas at me. I'll do max of 5 (1 squad) per person. I'm probably going to use my own base (unless there's one you really want that looks cool). Just comment below with whatever info you have (definitely any tattoos/scars/etc or specific armor designs/paint designs, name and/or number too so I can write it in).

My only request is that you already have the character profiles created!!!
I'm just going to add the image with the entire squad/however many you requested to their galleries. You can change the design however you want after, but as per my usual TOS please do not edit the image I send.

k now for some rambles

I recently saw the Chimera Connor mod, and I am in *bliss* with how cool it looks (seen a few versions and they all are so badass). Machine Connor has never looked like such a cold-hearted bastard. I love it so so much. Unfortunately, there's very little in the way of fanfictions or art with Chimera Connor that I've found. So as the starving man I am, I'm going to write/draw the damn thing myself. It's been a hot minute since I've written anything, but I'm zooming through the outline. (If any of you are writers and haven't looked up Brandon Sanderson's BYU lectures on youtube I would def recommend it. they're the full lectures for free and have been amazingly helpful, even just listening to them like a podcast while I'm at work).

I'm basing the idea kind of off a comment I saw, that suggested Connor's new look might be from a glitch after he died (I think original comment was about him waking up inside the junkyard in a body that he'd died in). For my story, the glitch appears after a death in testing (where he deviates) and just keeps showing up no matter what CyberLife tries. They wipe his memory, swap his body, reset him as far back as they can without rebuilding his AI from scratch. Some part of him holds onto the altered appearance (to some shred of deviance), and while the machine might take his place for a bit, Connor and the glitch come back. It's decided that the RK800 line won't be scrapped though.

It's less the unsettling appearance that worries CyberLife than the lack of control they have over a fully deviated android. To an extent they had planned for Connor to deviate. The technicians believe there's a way to hold Connor on the edge of deviating, with adjustments to his programming and Amanda's. Kind of a (Deviant) Hunter idea, wherein Connor thinks he's a machine, no one but him is fooled, and he slowly starts to realize over the course of his investigation with Hank that he might not be as machine as he thought.

I'm using the idea that Kara probably deviated twice, or once and got really close to it before when Todd destroyed her, and it stuck around to a degree which is why she was able to deviate so fast after being repaired/reset. Idk if anyone wants to jump on this bandwaggon with me, but I'm leaving my version open for anyone who wants to try something. And if anyone does actually write a Chimera Connor story please send me a link! Doesn't matter what version, I just need sustenance!!!!!

Defective/Storage Bin Dice Shop?

Posted 2 years, 2 days ago by digitaldesignation

Set up shop page for defect and storage bin dice?

1 Votes Yes! Give us all the dice!!!
0 Votes Storage bin only
0 Votes Just commissions/custom sets

So since I started experimenting with techniques and learning how to not get bubbles in my dice casts, I've acquired a fair amount of defective/bubble filled dice and sets that didn't quite come out how I'd planned. They're still pretty cool dice, so I wanted to see if there was any interest if I put them up in a ko-fi shop or something. I have one purple mini set for sure that is going in the storage bin, and I might have more by the end of today once I get the next batch de-molded. Still figuring out pricing, but for the holey bois I was thinking $5/dice or $30/set which would include shipping costs for US orders only for now (I'll have to check out costs for international shipping but eventually will offer international too).

For clarification: The sets I have are 7 pieces total. They include a d4, d6, d8, two d10, d12, and d20.

Ko-fi Headshot Sketches

Doing a thing through Ko-fi! One ko-fi ($4) for a sketchy headshot

Been wanting a pressure pot for dice making, so I'm gonna have little cheap headshots available to save up for one. Hopefully it will cut down on my production time (where currently I have to heat the resin and then wait for the bubbles to rise and pop) and give me consistent crystal-clear results so that I can start setting up a shop for dice.

Headshots will be uncolored sketches. Please link your profile and the ref to your character in the tip message box! Thank you so much to anyone who donates! Shares also appreciated! ^^

Edit: Paypal is a leech, so I've updated the price from $3 to $4 per ko-fi for now. I've also added Stripe (hopefully going to switch over to it for Ko-fi once I figure it out) which accepts payments from cards, Apple/Android pay, Venmo, etc.

Design Rules/Commission TOS

Posted 3 years, 1 month ago by digitaldesignation

These are my adopt rules specifically for designs made by me. All other designs in my Adopt/Trade/Resell folder fall under the adopt rules as designated by their creators. Please respect the adopt rules of these creators.

Adopts/Customs/Designs:

- You may change parts of the design as long as it remains recognizable. Color changes are fine.
- You may change the gender.
- You may not change the species. (AU designs or alternate forms are fine. Just don't buy the design just to turn it into a different species and only that.)
- Do not claim you created the design.
- If you resell, let me know. I like to keep track of where my designs go and to whom they go to.
- If you lose interest in a design, contact me because I may repurchase designs or trade old designs for new designs of equivalent value.
- You may purchase a design for someone else, but please let me know this is the case and for whom it is being purchased. I will need some confirmation that the person it's being purchased for has read my TOS and understands that they are agreeing to it by accepting the design.
- You may not resell at a higher price unless you have drawn or have commissioned art work of the character. Price raises may not be greater than the worth of the commissions purchased/art drawn.
- If you attained the design through art payments/design trades/etc please do not sell the character for money unless you have added art to their gallery (either by you or in commissions, same rules as above).
- You may not copy/trace/use my designs as inspiration.
- I retain the right to reuse elements/color schemes/themes in other designs.
- You may use the design for NSFW (my designs are all adults, so the only exception would be if you change their age).
- Use of this design in content promoting hate speech, pedophilia, incest, or similarly abhorrent things is prohibited and will get you blacklisted.

Bidding on any adopt signifies that you have read and agreed to all terms listed in my TOS. I retain the right blacklist serious violators, especially those engaging in NFTs, and prohibit them from future purchases.

For commissions AND designs:

- If you repost, tag and credit me (my linktree: http://linktr.ee/digitaldesignation) - I retain the right to use design/commission images in portfolios, commission sheet examples, and other advertisements as an example of past work (I will never use these to resell the design/commission image).
- Do not remove the watermark from any design image/commissioned work.
- You may not edit any commissioned work or design image to any extent. Contact me if you require any edits, small changes I will do for free.
- You may not use any commissioned work or design or piece of any commission or design for NFTs, advertisement of NFTs, or sell any part of the commission/design using blockchain technology or any future similar product.
- If you see my designs or artwork up on an NFT website, please contact me immediately.
- All designs and commissioned works are for personal/non-commercial use only. (See below for information about obtaining commercial rights.)

For clarification, non-commercial means the owner don't intend to sell what gets made with the art/design on it. Things you buy for your own enjoyment and use are good, such as: commissions of a design by other artists, commissions by me :D, getting a commissioned work professionally printed and/or framed as long as the image is not edited/watermark is not cropped out, putting commissioned work on a personal blanket/notebook/etc. Just send me a pic of big stuff like that stuff 'cause heck yeah do I want to see!

Commercial Use:

If you wish to use a design commercially (such as for selling merch like buttons, stickers, zines, artbooks etc), you must pay an additional 50% of what was initially paid for that design. So if you paid $100 for a design, you must pay an additional $50 for commercial rights.
Note: Even if you purchase commercial rights to a design: 1) I still retain rights to use the design in portfolios, commission sheets, and advertisements/etc as an example of past work; 2) I still require design credit; 3) Watermarks on the design image may not be removed, and the image may not be edited/cropped in any way; 4) You may still not use the design or pieces of the design for NFTs or anything NFT/blockchain related.
