also stats were never our thing but mad respect to anyone who enjoys them, including you!!! we did like. one stats module in first year and decided it rly wasn't our thing lol. we like pure stuff that has absolutely no bearing on real life except for super niche fields bc we think it's so cool and beautiful. it's like art, in that way. who does this serve? nobody, but it doesn't need to.
yeah thats so real!! i do see the beauty in pure math but while im currently learning it in standardised education i cant rlly appreciate it as much as i could without the pressure of 'oh god i need to know this' haha. seeing maths stuff out in the wild in a non-educational zone though is very cool :) fibonacci sequence in nature i love you 4ever ...
edit: i cant remember the name of what im thinking of for the life of me but. i saw a tumblr post about buildings/architecture that had these beautiful interlocking shapes etc and i think thats a very neat example of humans using math in an artistic way! if i find what im talking abt ill link it

this is stated on the website, but what got manyface into maths is polyhedra!! specifically, we would make them with our dad out of card paper when we were a little kid. they were so beautiful and cool, and he taught us about sacred geometry stuff, like how the platonic solids represent the five classical elements which just BLEW OUR MIND
augh the world is so beautiful and so is maths... i got really caught up in the beauty of the world... there's so much to do and see and i'm spending lots of time with my soon-to-be girlfriend!!!
