The people of the vibrant city of Night’s Core seek safety from and make idols out of heroes armed with Harmonies- greatly varying powers made stronger by the audible presence of a particular sound. One of the most popular had been a troupe of heroines calling themselves The Orchestra, but a few years ago, tragedy struck, and the curtain was lifted on the less glittery and bright aspects of herodom. No longer under their leader’s thumb, the group separated, its members for the most part carrying on their work independently. Nobody’s heard from the disgraced leader for quite some time…
But there’s been a string of attacks on those with Harmonies lately, and the culprit seems to have their eyes on the former Orchestra members. Tab’s already on edge, what with her girlfriend being their latest target, and she knows that it won’t be long until her little sister and her friends want to play at being heroes too- they’re just going to get hurt. She can keep them occupied and keep them a little safer if they go ahead and do it if she caves in and gives them the training they’ve been begging her for, can’t she?
