Whimsy thinks War is incredibly cute and fun to mess with. He finds himself smiling more often than ever while in her presence (though admittedly it's often at her expense). He enjoys that they share a lot of interests, and he thinks it's cool that she's a nightmare.
Nathaniel finds Madrona to be pleasantly enigmatic (he may describe her as a poet when he doesn't understand what she's talking about). While he's not immune to becoming confused or mildly unnerved by certain behaviors, he's far too patient and understanding to let it ruin his perception. He's perfectly fine with allowing her the space she seems to require, but warmly welcomes any effort towards closeness and interaction.
A lovely man, like the fallen orchards lost to blight on a whimsical autumn day.
Mac is a little too proud to admit it, but she likes Madrona. She finds the other vampel's presence oddly comforting and thinks she's Cool as Hell. She may sometimes unintentionally step on certain lines by asking insensitive questions and not being great with physical boundaries, but unlike with most people, she doesn't actually mean to be a menace.
Her impishness rustles my foliage in an amusing way... But I can't help but glower over the thought of her crossing paths with blinding lights in winding thoroughfares.
Quentin found common ground with Father Cambridge. Somehow, their mutual social anxiety canceled out, and so Quentin always found it pleasant to talk with Samuel or just sit in comfortable silence while they each did their own thing.
Father Cambridge got to know Quentin relatively well in the years that they occupied the church together, and took a shine to him. He knew Quentin's parents, as well, but was always slightly intimidated by how alarmingly well put together they seemed in comparison to their son.
Liam has always found his younger brother annoying, and has never hesitated to make that clear. However, despite their differences, he does care about Samuel, and so he also doesn't hesitate to hang around his brother's place of work to keep an eye on him.
Samuel has mixed feelings about his brother, but the most prevalent one is fear. The two don't fight much, but it's because Liam basically bullied him throughout their childhood and continues to exert that intimidation into their adulthood--so, Samuel keeps out of Liam's way, for the most part.
Outwardly, Pepper is playful and dismissive with her brother, usually telling him he should loosen up and have some fun or otherwise engaging in defiant banter with him. However, she secretly looks up to and admires Isidore, and often uses humor to cover up the guilt she feels for worrying him so much.
Isidore can become especially hostile towards others when it comes to his sister. As hybrids, they've each faced a lot of outside hostility, and Pepper's lack of self-preservation instincts have made him exceptionally protective over her. He acknowledges that she could be doing a better job of not getting into trouble, but his soft spot for her prevents him from really being harsh on her about it.
Zaraq finds Flicker's company quite pleasant, and greatly appreciates their shared love for birds (Sometimes they show off Perul doing tricks or just let the two play while they're busy with something). Zaraq does reprimand her for her clumsiness but that's probably just their way of trying to teach her how to be less "careless".., out of fear for her safety. However, they're never harsh about it. They just tend to act like a concerned parent and can get overprotective over Flicker at times.
Flicker admires Zaraq and thinks they're awesome, basically. She thinks it's cute that they're so fond of moths, partially because she doesn't make a very good guide herself. She's especially fond of Zaraq's bird friend; at least 30% of her excitement whenever she sees Zaraq is actually directed towards Perul /hj
Chrysus respects his uncle and appreciates everything he's learned from him. He and Andras admittedly get along quite well, although even he acknowledges that Andras is a bit too much of a stick in the mud.
Andras appreciates how willing and reliable Chrysus is when it comes to his training, and finds their sessions to be among the least unbearable. He believes Chrysus has the potential for great things, but refrains from saying soβhe wouldn't want to inflate his nephew's ego and potentially throw him off course.
Odell has met Rainer a few times, as their paths occasionally cross during her investigations. She believes he needs to get out more often and enjoy what's left of his youth, but she does appreciate his genuine and respectful demeanor.
Rainer has met Odell a few times. He thinks she's an interesting person and enjoys speaking with her, although their conversations have rarely strayed away from the spiritual and supernatural. Her perspective, though, has influenced his own internal discussions about his faith.
