Q: How do the bloodlines work?
Choose your Wildren's main bloodline. You may then choose 1 or all of the traits associated with that bloodline.
Bloodline is separate from ordinary traits and doesn't count against your trait [credit].

Q: Can I use traits from more than one bloodline?
You may use traits from another bloodline if it is of -lesser- rarity than the one you chose.
If it is of the same rarity or higher, it will use up your trait credits.

Edit: I think this bulletin served it's purpose when it was needed and I'm content to erase it at this time unless the problem arises again. I don't believe it will. AUGGED baited this journal out of me, admitting they had, indeed, been slandering me (I have screenshot proof), and then gaslit me for it. I continue to be stalked by their latest "partner" who had been apparently keeping tabs on me since it started. So much for "moving on." Now I know I made the right decision.

Been holding this in for a while. Personal rant.

I've had some time to think about something that happened about 6 months ago and I regret not standing up for myself at the time but I didn't want to stoop to petty callout posts. But I'm tired of letting people have a poor opinion of me just because they tend to believe the first thing they're told. And, let's face it, no one wants to support injustice. And usually "popular" artists, for whatever reason, are treated like tyrants with no feelings.

I do have feelings. I have a lot. I'm not very good at showing them as I am nearly sociopathic with bottling emotions and maintaining a rational exteriour. Someone's therapist told me I shouldn't be afraid to talk about my feelings. So permit me this one whiny journal, please, it would mean the world to me.

Can we all agree we're all human and everyone makes mistakes? I'm not a fan of the mob mentality but the moment anyone with a following bigger than the other person gets defended, people are accused of white knighting, as if to invalidate the defense. I wanted to avoid this since, rightfully, it was my problem and no one else's.

The characters I needed help with getting returned to me were made as gifts for my best friend at the time. Say what you will, but I distinctly remember an exchange where we agreed if they weren't wanted anymore, they were to be returned to me.

I know they were not wanted for two reasons: 1) The person stated they were going to give them away (though likely sell) rather than just give them back and 2) They've said in the past they don't hang onto characters with negative associations and presumably I was just that.

I did NOT, under any circumstances, ever want to make the affair public. I just awoke one day after no contact for weeks to find myself ex-communicated and tried every avenue I could think of to contact this person to discuss the characters and whatever else. I would have absolutely sought a compromise and allowed them to sell a few since I knew they were in financial trouble at the time and have, in the past, made characters for them to sell.

That behaviour wouldn't change just because they don't want to be friends anymore. I'm woefully compassionate. If they'd earnestly told me they loved and planned to keep the characters, I wouldn't have the heart to ask for them back. But I was offered no response for hours, presumably number-blocked or something. Not sure.

And I'll fully admit, had that conversation not taken place, I would still have expected at least most of them back. It's a common argument to turn on someone 'wow but they were gifts, what a jerk!' and yet, you know the feeling. They'd even done it to their ex-friend. Nevermind the hypocrisy though; To claim disrespect when you won't even talk to me? Don't expect something you won't give. Treat others the way you wanna be treated.

Never... NEVER have I ever not encouraged you to talk to me. Never did a pout go by without me asking "Are you ok?"

I was also told I would never be ex-communicated and never have it explained to me what I did wrong. I'm very trust-insecure. I'm also criminally far-sighted and have a dry and blunt method of speaking inherited from a family of law-enforcement and military. I'm also domineering, outrageously unfair on myself, manipulative and hyperactive workoholic with stupid high expectations of myself and others.

Despite all of this, the intent of my crime is and always has been to be a good friend and person. But no one on Earth has mastered this skill, least of all me. I make my friend's problems my own, I use all the resources I can muster to solve them right alongside my own, as my few lifelong friends can attest.

I go above and beyond what ordinary people do. I inconvenience the shit out myself to be just "helpful". I don't expect anything in return except to be loved and appreciated despite my personality flaws. Can you not relate?

I trust you guys to see the goodness in my everyday intent.

I've had a history of being called various synonyms of evil. It's taken me most of my life to be able to trust MY own opinion on this. That I'm not. I know what's in my heart. I know where I've been and what I've outgrown.

I know the literal miles I've driven, and the literal roadburn I've gotten just to help others. I will not stand here and let people claw at me without defending myself. Or feeling like I'm not allowed to be vulnerable or do what helps me to heal. Or be called hurtful, cruel, delusional, or whatever, and not be allowed to defend myself.

You are hurtful.

Normally I keep these thoughts to myself. In fact, I always do. Maybe I'm beginning to think it's not criminal to talk about what's in my head. I'm tired of being told men don't get to show hurt. Or that popular artists are all conceited jerks.

Please, please forgive the rant. It's been years since I've done anything even remotely like this and I needed it. I appreciate it. It feels good to post it publicly because it makes my emotions feel real for once.

▲ The Knightclaws are thought to be ennobled fae companions- the oldest of their race serving as familiars to powerful kings and witches. Now, they are the dominant race on their planet of Royal Bastion.

▲ Royal Bastion shares a star with the Wildren homeworld. Knightclaws assisted in the war against the Hollow that ultimately ended in the destruction of Vallencourt. Many of their number were slain, now wandering mindless as dust-hounds in the crumbling Silver Forests of the Garden World.

CLANS
▲ Highgarden - A clan of impeccable taste. Highgardeners are self-assured, confident and polite. They dress in Baroque and military fashion.

▲ Drakengard - Drakengardians value strength and honour. Loyal to the core. They dress in armour and furs.

▲ Jinzu - The Jinzunites are wise and compassionate scholars. A clan that values knowledge. They dress in fine silk and robes.

▲ Wildheart - The Wildhearts live completely in-tune with nature with many impressive traditions and powerful shamans. They dress in leather, fur and ornamental jewelry.

Knightclaw vaguely resemble canines or large cats. Their legs are very long with strong joints for running. They possess thumbs, but can also use their powerful magic to manipulate objects.

CULTURE

  • ▲ Knightclaw all possess a strong code of honour, though this code varies greatly between clans and individual Knightclaw. What's honourable to one may not be to another!
  • ▲ Because of conflicting idealogies, clans treat each other with distrust.
  • ▲ Naming Conventions; Knightclaw first names can be nouns, exotic and completely fantastical or relatively mundane. Surnames are often personality or nature related. (e.g. Honourclaw, Proudfoot, Silverchaser, Darkheart)
  • ▲ It's very trendy to style your mane and hairstyle.
  • ▲ Each Clan governs itself with a hierarchy of nobility, knights and craftsmen, all regarded highly for their talents. Some talents (like being a good thief) are less appreciated by the majority, however! It's common to barter with goods and services rather than currency in most clans.
  • ▲ Every Clan has it's own territory.
  • ▲ A clan can be led by several kings or queens depending on the size, followed by advice from duchies and princes; all with a certain role to fill. A king or queen is not omni-powerful, but makes final decisions based on advice from their courts and councils.
  • ▲ Artisans and craftsmen are treated exceptionally well. It's every crafter's goal to secure patronage from a noble.
  • ▲ Every clan has an honour guard of brave knights which serve as warriors and military for the Clan's interests. Many knights are sponsored by a noble but they ultimately serve the clan as a whole, not just the king/Queen. Knights that have achieved some great feat are often ennobled to the court, should they choose to accept.

LORE
Fairy King Dragons, according to the lore found in libraries of the fae realms, were created to be powerful stewards of the natural world alongside fae and elvenkind. A Fairy King (or Queen!) Dragon begins life as a princeling, where it will become aligned with the cosmos depending on the time of day, location and date on which they were born. When a Princeling reaches the point where they are fully in tune with the stars, their pelt will develop the characteristic "Fairy Dust" glitter in their fur, said to be representative of the stars under which they were born. A princeling will always reach this point before adulthood as it is pre-ordained in the stars long before they are born.
All Fairy King Dragons are deeply connected to astrology and the natural world, said to be physical gatekeepers for universal powers to reach the worlds in which they reside. (Or at least amplify them.)
It is said that every Fairy King has a patron or mother star to which their soul travels to and ignites further upon their eventual death in many thousands of years. The Fae world writes that, should the last Fairy King be slain on the planet, the sun that keeps the planet alive will die soon after.

POWERS
Fairy King Dragons all possess latent magical abilities they may choose to master. Each is born under a certain element such as fire, water, metal, wood, void and is naturally adept at magic related to it. They may later learn other elemental magic. Time works differently for them, and they have plenty of it to study!
When casting magic, or when they have built up enough within their bodies, a physical manifestation of their element will appear between the tips of their horns.

ANATOMY & TRAITS
Fairy King Dragons have a hybridized mammalian anatomy. Though born from gemstone-like eggs, they are covered in fur, with a few areas of the body that will grow soft plates of keratin. Most often the ventral neck and tail and dorsal shoulders and thighs. Scutes may also appear on their legs.

CULTURE

  • ▲ All Fairy Kings are different, with different personalities and generally adhere to personalities consistent with the fae realms, dependent on which season they were born.
  • ▲ Fairy Kings are also craftsmen and artists. Many choose to take up a single craft and master it, or experiment with many.

THE ASTRALIUM AND THE NEXUS

Said to be the origin point for all Fairy King souls. The Astralium is thought to send Fairy Kings across the multiverse to reside where it thinks they'd flourish. It is a benevolent energy that grants purpose, according to their writings. Not all Fairy Kings necessarily believe the theory.

The Fairy King homeworld is known as The Nexus. A strange, gaseous planet with a small rocky core and an almost honeycomb-like formation surrounding it. Often struck by falling stars and experiences stardust storms. To combat this, Fairy Kings build massive subterranean habitats. Some no more than caves and others; elaborate underground cities encrusted with collected treasure and knowledge.

It's finally happened! Enough folks expressed interest in Wildren MYOs the last few weeks and I'm doing a limited time event. Go forth! Spread the Wildren plague!


RULES

  • Comment with your intent to claim! SPECIFY which kind of slot! It helps record keeping!
  • You will receive a PM from smooshkin or Hxwke if accepted.
  • You cannot claim for a friend! This gets too confusing very quickly. Someone else may pay for you, but be sure to tell me.
  • PM your finished design to me for approval!
  • Max TWO (2) slots per person.
  • $20USD per Uncommon slot. $30USD per Rare slot. $50USD per Exotic slot.
  • There is no time limit on when to turn in your design.
  • You may use these BASES to help design your Wildren, commission another artist, or draw it yourself!

  • Event ends in 3 days from bulletin post date.
