Another annual reminder that even I am affected by the passage of time. XP
No going out for pasta dinner dressed up fancy this time. This year it’s a dinner party at the house where I pretend to be more Filipino than I normally am. Got my mom’s chicken recipe that I hope I don’t burn while deep frying this time, lumpia that I’ve never made before, sticky rice, and some ube cookies are incredibly thicc and a deep purple color. They look like alien cookies, or like they’re from a cartoon or something. XD
Still got so much to prep and clean before the guests arrive. Why did I give myself so much work for my birthday? ^^;
Hope your party was lots of fun! <3 The food all sounds great~ And I actually had some ube ice cream the other day, really super good! I bet the cookies are pretty tasty too. :D
Also hope your birthday present turned out ok! I handpainted it myself, but was having a lot of trouble with the d12 and d20s for some reason. xD;

It’s funny…I went to a pasta place for my birthday with my sister and cousin while dressed up nicely! 😂 I suppose it’s a good thing to change things up, in your case!
Ooh, Filipino food! The ones that you’ll be making sound delicious. I’m a fan of some of them myself, especially lumpia and ube recipes! And either way, I’m sure they’ll be great! Do your best with making them!

Yeah, it was a nice change of pace, especially since my last two birthdays were virtual parties. I was nice getting the gang back together, and it also gave me the motivation to actually tidy up for guests in the house. XD
I think everything turned out really good~ Made way too much food though, so next time I shouldn’t be so ambitious. ^^;
