Hello, everyone!

My name is Dandelion, and you probably don't know me. Who I am isn't that important- what's important is what I'm here to do.

You see, I've been hearing whispers as of late. Whispers of a brand-new trait! And while I may not know exactly what it looks like, I'm determined to find out. How, you may ask? Well, some good ol' fashioned reconnaissance! I've been asking around and talking to other invaders with the sole purpose of figuring out what's what. I'm not exactly affiliated with any big publication, though, sooo...

To serve as a proper archive, and hopefully boost awareness, I'll be uploading recordings of each interview I've conducted once a week. I figure maybe one of you will make sense of these answers better than I could? Or, well... maybe it's just fun to share my progress. Regardless!

This first one was with a particularly strange character. Very flashy, very... excitable. Hopefully watching the footage won't give you a headache.

…Well! That was a very… interesting introduction. While Dandelion herself seems pretty normal, that fellow at the carnival certainly was not- and what’s all this about a new trait anyways?
If you’d like to dig into the mystery yourself, here’s how you can help:

• Each of you have been granted a chance to bring a new Mignyan into the world, no slot needed. Outside of the anniversary event, this functions as a normal Common turn-in and can be treated as such if you do not wish to participate in the bulk of the anniversary event.
• Each week, our dear Dandelion will deliver us a new recorded interview, (hopefully) with further clues towards the undiscovered trait she’s seeking. A new hint from the mods towards what trait upgrades are available to find in comments scattered around Mignyan related socials on both Deviantart and Toyhouse will also be provided. You will essentially be scavenging for traits to add to your turnin!
  • Traits will only be available for the week they’ve been released. The date they become defunct will be listed on the comment containing the trait.
  • Rarity will increase over time, and as such they will be hidden in deeper locations.
  • These will mostly be specific trait upgrades, such as vestigials or wings, rather than overall upgrades. There may be overall upgrades hidden around, but you’ll have to search pretty hard to find them…
  • In order to claim an upgrade, reply to it! If found on Toyhouse, you will need to include your Deviantart username to claim properly. Toyhouse comments will contain a reminder of this
  • Each trait can be claimed indefinitely by as many people as possible before the defunct date listed on the comment
  • Once approved, event trait additions will not be marked as upgrades on the masterlist like typical upgrades do, and they will be able to be swapped out with redesigns as per usual traits.
  • You will be able to apply pre-existing trait upgrades to these designs. These will be treated as they normally are on trait lists.
• When turn-in time comes, you’ll have two options of “payment” for getting your Mignyan approved: 
  • Typical $15 common slot price, will not raise with upgrades. All proceeds will be donated to a charity of our choice announced later on in the month :] more details will be available on this once the turnin period starts!
  • Completion of all four art prompts given alongside each interview drop will grant a free turnin approval.
• Turnin period will be from October 29th-31st. Any MYOs not sent in during this time period will be treated as normal and will require a slot. Event trait upgrades will expire at the end of the event, and cannot be used on outside MYOs
• Note: PLEASE be sure to send in WIP checks during the designing period! Designs that need to be edited during the approval period will have to be finished before the end of the period, otherwise you will miss your chance to turn it in

  Keep an eye out for some pretty widely used traits this week. And don’t go digging too deep now - we’ve only just started!
  

• All pieces must be SFW
• Your piece must at least be flat color! No shading or backgrounds required :]
• Your piece must include at least 50% of one undisguised Mignyan in frame
• Pieces must reflect the prompt
• If you do not own a Mignyan, you can ask someone else if you can draw theirs OR use our mascots!
• Work may be submitted either to the DeviantART Prompt Art folder OR to the prompts channel in the Discord server. Uploading to Discord only requires you to tell us your DA username

• All work must be SFW - minor language is okay!
• Minimum of 300-350 words
• Work must reflect prompt
• Work must feature one Mignyan, though non-Mig background characters are allowed
• Same as above, the mascots and others Mignyans may be used with permission if you do not own any!
• Work may be submitted to DeviantART or Discord. If uploading to Discord, please do not paste your writing directly into the channel! Please upload somewhere else and link us to it.
