Virusyte Takeover

Happy new year! Thanks for an amazing year-- here's to many more! This year we are celebrating new beginnings, both for old and new users! 

NEW LORE + SUBSPECIES 

In their efforts to save their species, humans have been working towards creating an anti-virus software that can defeat the alien threat. While they haven't been able to eradicate virusytes, they are able to quell new ones that have not captured a host. When a virusyte consumes data infected with this antivirus, they are rendered useless, as their corrupt eye detaches and their parasite's eye is permanently closed. Dubbed Purisytes, these virusytes are forced to wander the digital universe being unable to capture a host. 

Viruses also have their faults (according to their alien creators): emotions. These make virusytes weak and susceptible to emotions like attachment, grief, and laziness. When a virusyte is not or chooses not to do their job, the aliens send in Termytes. These are virusytes devoid of personality and emotion (for the most part). Their goal is to correct the virusytes behavior and eliminate them if possible. They cannot capture humans like virusytes, and instead are built with weapon detachments to 'correct' their behavior.

MONTHLY PROMPT

Every Virusyte needs a host to grow stronger…design or write about your virusytes host! Have they already captured them, or are they plotting to? 

This month there will be no new seasonal trait. However, completing this month's monthly prompt will earn you an item to create a Purisyte or Termyte! Pair these items with any MYO rarity and you can create one of our subspecies.
