Hello Friends! (And happy new years)

I made another Clown plush!

This time with (Clean) dish rags! (because I was out of white fabric) And embroidered his face by hand instead of with my machine, to make him bigger! (My machine only does 4X4 size, and I wanted bigger)

I finally ran out of the fabric I used to make his shirt, bummer! and I can't seem to find a replacement online, (I got the cloth as a man's shirt while thrifting) Sooo.. I guess if I make another The Clown plush, it will have a different shirt...

So, that's why his sleeves are shredded in the new plush, I used what I had left ):

BUT THEN ONCE I GOT DONE, THEN CAME MY FAVORITE PART, BOILLLIINNGGGG HIIMM!!!

Anyway... After he was done boiling in peppermint tea (Again) I took some pictures of him with the first Clown plush and put on his finishing touches (:

While he looks a bit shoddier and he's a lot more fragile, I think he looks a lot more vintage than the first one, even though the first one is sturdier and more well-put together (:

Thanks! :D I've been planning on making a few more Banzo's just for the fun of it, I'm gonna have to squish his design into all different kinds of shapes and aesthetics ^^

Yup! This (Bigger) Banzo was hand embroidered using a simple wooden embroidery hoop, (In the biggest size I had), it was my first time doing hand embroidery (: But for the smaller Banzo, we used our Brother 4X4 Embroidery machine..., we've had that old thing for years and I can't exactly say it's worth the price tag + the embroidery software (That I didn't pay for because JESUS that's a lot for a program!) with how small the patches come out, but I still use it!

I also have to suggest keeping an eye on your local secondhand marketplaces, (Facebook marketplace, Craigslist) I wish I had known about those sites when I was buying my machines (: ... Looking into it now... Man, I wish I had bought mine second-hand...   Oh well!

But when I was first starting in plush making, my plushies got button eyes, simple stitches for mouths, and I bought patterns to make them rather than making my own, (: Like this one! (Made 3 years ago)

3 years later I now wing all my sewing patterns and embroidery, Banzo's entire design was winged and mostly unplanned :D Also, looking up the types of doll aesthetics you like is very important, I've been trying to nail down a "Genuine Vintage" look for quite a while, but other people have a lot of different tastes, and knowing what you personally like is important ^^

But now you've got me curious if I can embroider on my sewing machine, I'm going to have to see if that would work!

Banzo glow up! We love to see it! Also don't worry, you aren't boiling him, he's getting a nice hot bath :) good therapy for his old bones

Well That's a much kinder way to look at it! :D From now on, When I have to weather these types of toys, I'll remember to refer to it as a spa treatment rather than medieval torture
