For some reason one day I told my friend that Macaque had hearing loss on both sides cuz I wanted him to be like me but then I realized the I had said the absolutely stupidest shit 😭😭 I struggle with headcanons and barely have any buuut !! I'm placing that here hehe

hmhmhm i really like the headcanon that they both use a magic thing called glamour to hide their scars or in macaque's case fur (and his extra ears!) . i like to think hes albino but uses his magic to turn his fur black so he can look more emo or something!
also another headcanon abt macaque that im pretty sure might be canon in the original journey to the west series is that each set of ears he has can hear the past, present and future which is why he was so nervous abt fighting the jade emperor

I think one of the only real headcanons I have for designs is that I give em longer feets (more hand-like. because monke.) << Still workshopping my macaque and wukong ( I have an outdated red son somewhere XD but I need to redo )

LEGO MONKIE KID MENTIONED??? i like to think that Macaques fur kinda changes throughout the seasons being pitch black in the summer and then like snow white in the winter, then half and half in like spring and autumn. dumb but kinda silly (i love macaque hes so goofy silly)

I have a LOT of thoughts about LEGO!SWK and honestly my favorite one is that he masks a lot to appear less threatening to everyone. It's a kid's show but it also tackles scary situations so I sat there thinking about how he almost murdered the host girl and I think he should be allowed to show that side of his more often. I think he should bite a guy <3

I feel like the mask is ingrained into him as a coping mechanism as well bc he mentioned hat he mkeas jokes to make situations feel not so bad IDK!!! I HABVE MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THISMAN Also esp with how Tan Sanzang treated him he literally gave him the golden thing he likely learned to be friendly thru that as well i think he would be much more unhinfed before he tried to take down the Jade Emperor like LOOK AT HIS CONFRONTATION WITH MACAQUE!!! his threatening aura never disappeared it was simply masked but it persists either way... freak
