Year 3 Spring review

Posted 2 years, 2 months ago by Lovelyta Ranch ReneeScarted

I'm terribly behind on actually posting the review, but at least I have been fairly active in HARPG so it's a half-win kind of situation. Spring came and went in Lovelyta as we came into Year 3 and we already have so many happenings!

  • Our beloved Diana gave birth to 9 healthy puppies, but sadly passed away due to complications during the birth. It was an incredibly bittersweet moment and a horrible start of our LRK breeding. We are keeping 3 beautiful pups of the litter to carry on her legacy and are very excited to see at least them develop and thrive. 2 more puppies will go to our affiliate Equip, which means we will have our eyes on most of the litter.
  • Roman officially retired from the track, and started his retraining to become a cross country horse! Where he lacks the patience and precise approach to dressage, he takes to both galloping and jumping quite happily. He still has a lot of "go" from his track days, but he's coming along nicely.
  • We have some more additions to Lovelyta Ranch in the name of breed conservation! RRS Kesia and RRS Gahiji are two young zorse/blurock mule foals who will provide a basis for our future project-based breeding, and we are very excited about it. Many thanks to our new affiliate, Rose Ridge Stables!
Summer is just around the corner and we have exciting plans for it, including both breeding and competing. Let's see how much will actually be achieved, especially since it falls on a pretty short real-life month this year.
