Thank you all for the succesful launch!

There's a wave of emotions we feel when we think about our launch - and overwhelming gratitude is one of them. The storm has mostly tided over and I'm sure many of you are wondering what's next.

This wouldn't have been possible without you all - so thank you! Thank you for sticking with us as we stumble our way through managing and running a community, and we apologize if there have been mistakes thus far. We're all learning, and we shrimply want to do our best to make Dreadnauts a CS we can be proud of.

We are shore you will enjoy what we have planned and hope to get the community sea-l of approval. We are current-ly working on an extra trait sheet to clarify seartain traits that have been asked about. We will also be making an updated FAQ list to answer common consearns, though our discord help desk is always open for more specific concerns you may have. We hope you enjoy the plans we have for the future (as much as we have enjoyed coming up with it)

April Emote Contest!

Did someone say marketable emote? We're hosting a discord emote contest! There will be two categories - NPC Nauts and Nauticals (MYO/Officials). Three staff picked favourites of each category will win a prize, and so will two voted community's choice from each category! Further details, rules, and launch will be announced soon as this event will be hosted in the discord.

Due to abrupt closure of the event, we have decided to open up a few more slots to the public. We will only be distributing 30 FTO common slots, that's right, thirty! Each common slot is $25. You may claim for yourself (if you are FTO) and/or a first-time owner friend. Further details will be announced in a bulletin and event will end when April 17 ends or if slots run out early. The claiming will be FCFS (First Come, First Serve)—further details of sale will be put on the main sale bulletin. Worry naut, our upcoming events will provide alternate ways to attain MYO Slots if you weren't able to get one of your own. Thank you for taking interest!

Staff Adopt Batch

Staff will be releasing an adopt batch near the end of April! No previews yet, but we will tease the designs before release on our Discord!

Mystery Collaboration....

MINI EVENT

We will be doing our first ever collaboration with another Closed Species! Details are still vague but will all be revealed on May. We will also be dropping two collab adopts, and prompts! Stay tuned!

Barracudas are opportunistic predators that, believe it or not, rely more on sight than any other part of their senses to hunt for food. They mainly prey on fish that present themselves with shiny and flashy scales, which trigger their feeding instinct. The barracuda does not think before attacking anything shiny, and so they end up attacking even humans that wear jewelry underwater. This is why some fishermen use flashy bait to attract the nearest Barracuda fish. Think twice before swimming with jewelry!

Honestly this feels so official?? Like if I didn’t know it was and just had this bulletin to go off, I wouldn’t guess it was a hobbyist original species thing this feels like a very official company thing. This is so cool.
