Posted 2 years, 1 day ago by dellabeat

Hello Clo-Gals! Here’s a quick run-down of what to expect this month:

  • Flower-themed official adopt batch
  • Monthly prompt
  • Virtual currency implementation (bank + shop)
  • 3 new mutations

Adopt Batch

3 official on-base chibi adopts will be released! Prices are still to be determined, but right now you can expect each to start at around $5 USD. The designs will have floral themes to coincide with this month’s art prompt.

Speaking of which, our first ever art prompt is now open! Prompts have no deadline, and users can go back and complete old prompts.

PROMPT: Clo-Gal Showers Bring May Flowers

  • Draw or write about your Clo-Gal gaining a floral or spring-themed outfit! Is this no big deal to your Attirean who shape-shifts often, or is this a dramatic transformation?
  • You can use different color palettes, different sleeve cuts, etc., BUT your Clo-Gal/Attirean must be recognizable. Use your best judgement!
  • If you don’t have a Clo-Gal, you can draw the species mascot Chloe or borrow another user’s Clo-Gal.

Virtual Currency - Clo-Coins

With the debut of monthly prompts comes the arrival of the species’ virtual currency! Clo-Coins will allow users to buy mutations and other potential future add-ons.

The bank will be hosted on a Google Sheets spreadsheet, and the shop will be a page on the Toyhouse World with a purchase form on the Toyhouse World Forums (subject to change).

New Mutations

Most mutations will no longer be free, but you will be able to buy them at the shop! The current known Clo-Gal mutations are:

  • Ribbonitis: The shell’s flesh and skin unravel into thin, ribbon-like spirals.
  • Occulosis: The shell presents with extra eyes on the body that are atypical for a human.
  • [NEW] Nervexia: The Attirean’s control of the shell becomes much more visually apparent in the form of physical markings on the skin that resemble a nervous system.
  • [NEW] Dermaclothiasis: The Attirean is strongly bonded to the shell, resulting in the appearance of clothes fusing to the skin.
  • [NEW] Exoskeleton: The Attirean has hardened and created mech-like clothing or armor.

A visual guide of the mutations will be added as well.

Thanks for reading!
