EDIT: Thought of a species name, they'll be called Lunare(s) now! Pronounced like Loo-nayr \o/ and the metals are called crests.

Hello! Recently I've been hit with inspiration regarding this adopt I made last year --> http://fav.me/dcb3ed0 

I wanted to think of what the floating metals around them would be for and went from there. I ended up making my own boy who would be the prince of these bunnies -- at least for my own story since no one is obligated to use my lore :3;;

These buns are a technologically advanced species who live on the moon. But thanks to the prince, for the past century, they have ventured out to other planets and made homes there. They have the ability to communicate with technology in a way -- while the tech itself doesn't speak words, they are able to tell what it feels and needs. The metal that floats around them are personal to these buns. It is a representation of either their personality, desires, or both and can be from a simple or complex reason. Its shape is similar to the face markings that appear on their face. They aren't born with these markings. Most buns at a certain age will undergo training to find their mark and with it comes their metal companions (called crests). Gaining their marks is like a rite of passage into adulthood, however it's not unheard of for them to appear at a younger age due to some particular event that triggered it.

For Kiral, his ambitious nature led him to pursue new heights, and as a result he grew wings to reach the skies. He wanted his people to move forward instead of stay in their bubble that is the moon -- to fly to other lands.

Some extra info:

• Markings will always appear on the face, but can appear on the body as well.
• Can live up to several hundreds of years (Kiral's probably 150~200 years old)
• On other planets, most buns tend to keep it a secret that they're from the moon.
• Their crests can disappear/reappear at will.
