PC News

Greetings

I have good and bad news about my PC—the reason why I haven't written a new bulletin before is that all the matter has become a true odyssey. I don't even have my computer with me after more than a month.

To make it short, the company that sold me the power supply refuses to pay any costs for the reparation/to buy new pieces, no matter what I do or say. I even tried contacting the customer-whatever organisation, but you'll be surprised if I tell you how useless it was—In fact, it was a mere waste of time but, of course, I had to try everything in my hands to solve this.

So, this was the bad news. Now the good news: after insisting the technician check everything and let me know what's still working and what's not, he told me yesterday that not all pieces are burned, even if at first he insisted they were burned. My processor (an i9 9900KF) is working, and I found a relatively cheap motherboard with the correct socket (LGA 1151) to substitute the previous one I had. The tricky thing is I have to buy a new graphics card—a pain for the pocket. As a 3D artist, these bad boys are expensive, but there's no remedy. I will do my best to get the best deal.

It is not like I don't believe when he says, "the power supply you bought from us is perfect and works perfectly", but… No, I don't fully believe it. We will see what he says about this too.

I estimate I will finally receive my computer in a week or two.

I will keep you informed.

Best regards,
