SO, GUESS WHO WENT TO SEE LORD HURON TODAY. don't know what's normal to make a big deal out of with that sort of thing, but it's only the second concert i've ever been to in my life and i'm just going to be self-indulgent for a minute and ramble here about something silly because GOD i've been anticipating this all summer. i'm sorry for the notification
started off as a bit of an emotional roller coaster (albeit not uncharacteristically for me lol), and i had to fight my suffering and dying body a little to watch as best i could since there was like no seating in the place, and with nothing you could bring for anything like that allowed either, like PLEAS E wtf,,,, but good god. there is still just nothing like seeing your favorite artist for the first time with half your favorite songs blasted at you live. 3D, in real time that feeling when you realise like oh god it's this song and it plays and it's amazing and just GHAJHKGAHJGAHJGHJ. absolutely exhilarating, and also i need those ancient names part I and II experiences repeated forever and mashed permanently into my brain please and thank you
the venue itself may have sucked a little comfort-wise (perfect as the location otherwise was), but hey!! IT WAS WORTH. plus my sister showed me a nice spot on top a nearby tree root where i could see better near the end at least, so that was great haha
p.s. i almost got a t-shirt, but they were out of my size 😔

The Night We Met is one of my favorite songs but I haven't listened to their other music, which songs are your fave?
I'm glad you had such a good experience at the concert! I've never been to a concert before and can only imagine what it must be like, listening to the actual artists themselves playing in the same area! Must have been surreal haha

just a gorgeous song, gah!! and oooh, that is a dangerous question to ask 😔 i could link like half their discography SKJHGSKS, but for some real big top-favorites at least, how about: Way Out There, The Yawning Grave, Ancient Names Part I & II (technically separate songs, but it's easier linking them like that), Secret of Life, Long Lost, Drops In The Lake, Emerald Star, Love Me Like You Used To, Vide Noir, and i'm sorry for the music spam because that's already a slight ton actually LOL. they're just... all too good
thanks! 💖 and yeah though too! i have to keep reminding myself in a way at some points that like, those really are the actual people, and it's all actually happening, and surreal is definitely the best way to put it haha. i hope you'll get a chance someday too if it's something of interest, because it's really just an amazing thing to experience
