(and so i have returned to his profile yet again haha. taking this opportunity to continue things :o )

So, here he was in En's home again regardless. To be fair, the rain from before could easily get going again, and it wasn't like he had anywhere nearby to stay. Mentally reasoning the logic of his choice, Caelestis fiddled with his fingers from his seat on the sofa, gaze lowered. "You... really don't need to worry about me," he began hesitantly. "That before was a choice I made. I wouldn't quite consider it dying anyway," he looked up, "but if I've 'died' once already, I can die again, don't you think? Even if this body meets its end, I should be able to return here before too long."

A brief pause followed, his voice slightly more distraught afterwards. "It isn't fair that you're to be left alone. There must be another solution for that—and my life doesn't hold the same extent of value as a mortal's, so please." It worried him, not entirely knowing what was alright to share with En, but what else was he to do? "I'm more concerned about you," he added.

There was so much he wanted to ask. About the details behind En's past—more than just bits and pieces to speculate on without the entire context—that brother he'd mentioned before, and of what his plans for the future exactly were. It was almost a familiar concept. Dangerous, morally questionable personal missions motivated to the extent of betraying and abandoning one's loved ones, willing to oppose them regardless of where their loyalties may lie, largely out of the simple fear of bringing them down along with oneself. He nearly wanted to laugh thinking of it, though his heart still panged at the thought. Ah, hopefully this time would be a bit better...

Bringing his feet up onto the cushion as well, Caelestis drew his knees up against himself. Averting his gaze slightly, "With all those other concerns aside, do you… like it when I'm around?" Or do you not? Even if En did somehow have feelings for him... Gah, did he? Merely the thought of that kiss made his mind swirl. But even if so, that didn't necessarily mean that they were something the ex-prince would ever look to embrace. "No matter how much I gather of you, I haven't a clue what to think..." He went silent for a short moment, only to stand up in a start before any response could be given.

"...Oh, that reminds me. I never did cook for you in thanks for that time before, did I?" Oddly anxiously, Caelestis took off towards the kitchen. A change of topic didn't seem too bad...

(It is v long   )

By the time Caelestis had entered, En had undone his ponytail and ran his hand through his hair. He glanced at the black cat and the small bird that greeted him, tossing his keys next to them and undoing his jacket. It wasn't until he heard the comment about not caring about death that he gave the celestial a sharp look over his shoulder.
"Do you think that just because you come back, it'll be easy for me to watch that?" he signed angrily. "Don't talk like that. And don't be okay with losing your life so easily."
He took a deep breath to calm himself down while listening to Caelestis, to which he offered a silent yet bitter laugh. "Fate has never been on my family's side," he signed. "There's a story that my father was a monster that slayed gods and took their powers for himself. I'm sure the gods are getting their revenge through me."
Suddenly exhausted, he lumbered towards his couch and sat down besides him with a sigh, running his fingers through his white hair again. "I want to strike them down and get my own revenge, but I know I'll die before I can land a blow on even one. I'll probably die watching them laugh at me." The idea made him clench his jaw in rage, but that defeated exhaustion only washed it away seconds later.

A silence settled over the two. En was exhausted from today's events, he wondered if Caelestis was the same, considering his own silence. As if on cue, the celestial began to speak, albeit timidly. When that question came, the ex-prince didn't respond immediately. He stayed quiet, opening his eyes a fraction and merely staring at the floor. Finally, the hand that wasn't buried in his hair began to sign, "I'm--"
Before he could finish signing, Caelestis suddenly got up and rushed to the kitchen. En blinked slowly, then dropped his hand with a quiet sigh. How did he feel? He wasn't sure, honestly. He'd spent so long erasing his feelings and the people around him to avoid them being taken from him and the rush of grief and agony that followed, but with Caelestis coming so often, he felt his old self trying to return. It was a constant clash of whether to feel or not, and he still wasn't sure what to make of it. Even if Caelestis had some form of immortality to himself, surely the gods wouldn't allow something like that? They'd surely find a way to still take him.

En glanced at his pets, both of which were curiously watching Caelestis cook-- or more, hoping he was cooking for them. He followed their gaze to him, watching him try to differentiate the ingredients while probably trying to think up a dish to cook. He was a whirlwind of a mess, and was constantly annoying the assassin with his pestering and stalking, but...

As Caelestis focused on his tasks, arms snaked around his waist from behind, and En rested his chin on his shoulder. He stayed like that for a second, then moved his hands to cover Caelestis's, helping him shape them into sign language.

     "I like when you're around."

(AKJSKJHGHJKSGHS   and late af, but a little bonus reply that got lengthier than intended)

Caelestis sifted through the fridge and cabinets in attempt to get a feel for his options. There were no lemons nor lemon juice—that time before must've been with the lemon he'd given En, and any left over would surely be no good by now. This was a problem. He barely even knew many recipes, without there typically being much reason to cook himself at all, but he couldn't possibly make something bland. Heavens no! Fortunately at least, though an apparent nervousness still mingled its way into his movements, the distress at this issue did seem fairly effective at distracting himself from the earlier topic he'd brought up, really. Spices it is, Caelestis settled on after several moments of intense pondering—only for his eyes to widen at the arms around him.

Suddenly forgetting how to breathe, his face reddened. En...? There wasn't exactly anyone else it could be, and this position… This—this couldn't be allowed—

Just as he began turning his head aside in attempt to formulate some semblance of a reaction, En's hands covered his own. And any remaining composure was lost. W-what? What?? Head swirling so thoroughly… What was even happening? He looked down properly at last, and watching the movements that his hands seemed to be guided into, it was… sign language? Sign language. Words. And yes, the meaning… Thank god it wasn't as fast as usual, because he could nearly hear slow gears in his mind earnestly grinding their way to follow along.

'Like… when you're…' The rest was acknowledged subtly...

Caelestis stilled for a moment, allowing his body to lean back slightly into the embrace—as much as it could be done so, really, because he felt his legs just might buckle otherwise. Attempting to at least will back the hinting of tears nudging his eyes, he let out a quiet breath in defeat, and turned slowly around until they were both face-to-face. How to... how to react. He didn't really know what this meant exactly, but... After only staring wide-eyed for an indistinct period, in a sudden fluster by his pounding heart, Caelestis closed the distance and pressed his lips against En's.

It was more lengthened than any of the previous, frustratingly fleeting ones at least, but he pulled away as soon as his mind finally caught up to him. And awkwardly rushed back to the other room. Considering the previous moment, hopefully En wouldn't be about to murder him over that at least, but still! Caelestis mentally scolded his instinctive course of action, slapping his cheeks twice in hopeless attempt to get himself together.

Either way, it was seeming like the cooking might have to wait, actually. He… he was going to need to lie down for a while after this.
