I'll have to pick up the Kydd series again now that you've recommended it. :D In return (if I may), I'd recommend The Wooden World by N.A.M. Rodger if you don't already own it- it's nonfiction but makes a great table guide for looking up any big or small detail about life within the Royal Navy at that time.
