Yup they announced that after update 2.0 you will have to pay a recurring update pass to receive any updates and if your sub runs out you will be booted back to the final 1.x version before the 2.0 update
I seee I think the v1.X is already very stable and with a lot of features, I believe no one is forced to pay for the v2.0, the new updates should be waay too good to become a paid service, idk :p
