Hi Tere! i’m so sorry i often comment on your page but i really do love your art and aspire to become like you xp youre such an inspiration to me and to many other people!! So i’ve gathered a few questions here, i really hope you don’t mind answering them!
A really long time ago (like… a year ago) i asked you how you shaded and i wasnt being very clear on that tbh xd my apologies! i really meant how you chose your colors for shading, and how youre always changing shading styles and experimenting alot with your art, it’s really interesting! I personally like your cel-shaded style and wondered how you do it? I assume by stacking a bunch of multiply layers and going over them xp
What layer blending modes do you usually use? (Like multiply, overlay etc.) for backgrounds and those hue shifts i usually see in your art :0? theyre so cool and you use them so welll
i see in most of your speedpaints that you unlisted (like these https://youtu.be/GqeLjdMGBpA?si=gTmuH_fAQ71t5n0P) When it comes to shading the fur you seem to use this multiply layer and multiple other colors that you blend together, to create this 3d like effect?? and i have no idea how you do it but it seems so cool ajsksj
What’s your favorite japanese song artist?? your choice of syudou for Waru is amazinfhfusg aa
How did you develop your art style? were there any artists that inspired you to create your own? Or did it just appear out of nowhere? :0
Lastly… are you a furry?? Im so sorry if this question is very random but with all these animal drawings and not a single trace of a human drawing, have you ever thought of making a fursuit of sorts with your character or even sona?? aahah you dont have to answer, im just very curious on how you call the idea of the absence of humans in your character stories since these ideas are mainly for furry stories xp

awe no worries at all !! I'm more than happy to answer your questions Regarding shading and color choice, yes, experimenting is a big part of my process! this is really trying out different techniques and work out which one feels right for you For my cel-shaded style, I usually add the base shading in one layer, and then clip a layer above to add the inner highlights and dark shades (I do this with every shading style really lul) for shading I often use blending modes like multiply/shade, overlay, and shine modes for pretty much everything (BG and characters)
In the speedpaint you listed, I used the Shade blending mode, and I'm not actually using other colors for the lighter blending if that's what you're referring to? it is basically the brush settings that has this kind of watercolor effect, and I paint with trasparent pixels on then I use the magic wand to select the different color parts of the character, and change the hue of the shading with CTRL+U
As for Japanese song artists, it's hard to pick just one!! I have really been vibing to syudou, Kikuo and Fushi as of recently xD I also really like MARETU and Kariki Bear when it falls under vocaloid artists and TRI4TH, bohemianvoodoo, H ZETTRIO, for the Japanese Jazz fusion, which is my fav music genre !!
my art style has definitely evolved over time, some artists that inspired me to start digital drawing were Fierying, TheCynicalHound, LupisVulpes back in the old days :] but overtime my style developed through a combination of practice and observation, with a notable influence from Japanese culture of course!
And I'm not a furry myself, I don't have as many anthropomorphic characters, mostly ferals, but I guess their stories tend to revolve around elements in the human world does that technically places them on the furry side? idk xD I don't think I'll ever own a fursuit, but I think they're cool uwu-b
