Nah that’s completely valid, esp when you’re doing your part of it and people are just ignoring you and doing all other pieces of art.
I love doing art trades too but knowing myself I only choose to do them when I know I can complete them, and if i happen to forget to and the other person does as well i’ll end up doing so but checking in with the other person too
It’s so saddening when u put your all into something and someone else just doesn’t bother with it.
Like sometimes art trades are the reason I make friends, it means the world to me when i can draw something for someone and get something just as awesome back. It feels like a fun little gift exchange rather than a chore
and if it ever feels like a chore to anyone, DON’T DO ART TRADES!!
i gen love long term art trade buddies more anyway, ppl who will genuinely love drawing my chars and ill love drawin theirs just as much nd also ofc most importantly the fact im able to trust that theyll actually get their side done lol
