aaaaand for today... im working on that redraw i said i was gonna do. theres more to it on other layers but ill share the thumbnail for now. went for a kinda opposite approach in several ways, including it being a landscape canvas instead of portrait. a vertical oriented canvas feels a bit restrictive to me? like theres only so many trees i can add before it becomes cluttered, but i think a horizontal oriented canvas gives me more space for that kinda stuff. i want to have a lot of trees but not too many that they overpower the focal point, which is something i ran into when doing a couple thumbnails before. i'm not even sure if thisll even be my final composition, im planning on brainstorming some more ideas and studying some landscape artists to help me. I'm also planning on another piece that mirrors this one but i havent started on that yet past a very crude ms paint sketch i made so i wouldnt forget about it.
EDIT: i am including the mspaint sketch because i think it looks funny. i quickly wrote down some composition notes from class cuz i want to apply it to the future drawing
