( IC glitch oops) Impulsive thread, as far as I know it doesn’t exist yet. I saw someone ask the same question for people’s characters in the character discussion forum, so I thought I’d try it here!
Anyway, what was your dream job when you were a kid? Do you still have that dream job? Are you in that job now?
I used to want to be a scientist when I was around 5, specifically an entomologist. I think I just thought “bugs cool” and wanted to discover new species. I definitely wouldn’t want to be one now, I’m not big-brained enough and I’ve shifted a lot more to art than science. Nowadays I want to be a musician + artist.
I also wanted to be a vet when I was super young but eventually decided against it after learning that it was more than just saving cute animals. Biology is actually my hardest subject and I'm extremely squeamish towards open wounds and stuff, so I would never make it in the medical field anyways :'D
I remember when I realized art was for me and veterinary wasn't and it was quite a silly thing. I went to this summer camp for young veterinarians at the age of.. idk but I was still in elementary school. And the other kids would draw a scribble dog and then label all the parts of the body somehow already knowing what was what and I would be spending ages trying to draw a really good and detailed dog and when it came to labeling the body parts I couldn't name a thing and I felt stupid fjfjfnrkrnf
i wanted to be an author and an illustrator on the side since i was rlly young.... any enjoyment i had was taken away when writing work at school started exclusively becoming expository essays lolllll
I was part of the vet club until I was told vets cut the animals open. Just like in science class, but alive, and dogs.
I also wanted to make games but computers were way too expensive for the family and I didn't get one until I got a handmedown so I could type out my homework. It had no memory on it. I got a better one late in college but it's not like anything offered game design.
I wanted to be a farmer because I loved the Harvest Moon games and didn't comprehend how hard farm work actually was haha. I work with plants currently but it's not related to agriculture.
I wanted to be an engineer so I could make MLP Robots that fly and talk 😭 I don't want to do that now, I just wanna make graphic novels.
