gitaroo man and sdvx!
Whether it’s an arcade one, a mobile one, a PC or console one, tell me your favourite Rhythm game!
(Shout out to the Maimai, Chunithm, DDR and Phigros enjoyers! 🙌)
definitely been into muse dash a lot recently!! though i remember really enjoying phigros a while back :}
Personally Hypnosis Mic because I'm a fan and playing it is super fun, 🥺 the songs are mostly good too which helps a lot, I also like that older Japanese rhythm game where you have to repeat a beat back and the scene keeps changing but I can't remember the name sobbb, (edit: it's rhythm tengoku!!)
I'm a filthy Friday Night Funkin' fan, I'm sorry 😔
I know the community is full of shit, but I try not to engage with it. I just love the characters and songs, mods included. My favourite mod is Twinsomnia :]
Yes, hello, this thread was made for me.
I LOVE rhythm games even though I don’t play a bunch! The ones that I currently play are BanG Dream! (mobile), D4DJ (mobile) Project Sekai, (mobile) Tapsonic Top (mobile), Project Diva: Mega Mix (Nintendo), Arcaea (Nintendo), and Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party! (Nintendo). I’m def the best at Bandori and ProSeka though lol.
Colorful stage/proseka and Dynamix :D had to uninstall dynamix for phone storage but it's rly fun and the songs are good
I played Taiko no Tatsujin at a Japanese arcade and it was ABSOLUTELY HYPE!!
There was super loud, pulsing music and some BIG OL' DRUMS that you had to hit so fricking hard in order for the input to register!! I played it with my brother and omg if only I could play it again.... the console version doesn't interest me but if I ever find it in an arcade again I'mma be there all day.
Other than that I just play Project Diva and Project Sekai 👍
vvv I can't believe I forgot about Project Mirai that's another banger
Rhythm Heaven, Mad Rat Dead, Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX, Hi-Fi Rush and Just Shapes and Beats. Though if I had to really pick an absolute favorite it'd probably be a tie between Rhythm Heaven and Mad Rat Dead, I adore the quirkiness and uniqueness of Rhythm Heaven but I really loved Mad Rat Dead's art direction, story and music too. Also I wanted to mention Pop'n Music because although I've never played it I do really appreciate it's character designs and music too. Maybe someday I'll get to play it.
Arcaea is the only one that I really play/enjoy, I don't spend money on games but damn do I want to buy some music packs
phigros because i hate myself . super unique with its gimmicks though. proseka is one i frequent too (see: big vocaloid fan). simple notes and gimmicks but the charting for the most part can be very clever which i like
i also used to be an osu enjoyer back in the day ... the most i could do was 4 stars on default but i played mania from time to time :V
Taiko no Tatsujin games definitely! Haven't bought any of the recent games yet but it was my go-to on the PSP and DS. And of course, I love some good ol' Project Diva despite I suck at them lol (though I do prefer the PSP titles over Future Tone/Megamix...graphics are better in the latter though)
As for mobile, I've played...a lot of idol rhythm games back in my highschool~college years (LLSIF, Bandori, Idolish7, I-chu, Tenipuri Rising Beat, every Idolmaster mobile rhythm games) but I can confidently say Imas CInderella Girls: Starlight Stage is still my fav one gameplay and charting-wise haha.
