Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.
I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

I personally don't see the appeal of closed species, but that may be because a lot of the ones I often come across lack a sense of originality (ex. adding only small, common features to a human(oid) figure (like wings or kemono ears) and then calling it original). I feel like a lot of the appeal towards closed species lies more towards the idea of being part of something that's supposed to be "exclusive" and giving it a sense of rarity or something. (I don't know if I articulated that properly ;;)

Speaking of cs, I feel like people are hyping Dainties a bit much, like don't get me wrong, I think they're great, and I want one. But at the same time I think the amount of dainty related content (bases, ych, ect) that's being pushed out is, a bit much?
I still like Milk Inc and genuinely find their songs good
Maybe not an opinion but I have no idea what ranch is and how it tastes, in what context it is eaten, and why people love or hate it

Yeah, the whole ownership thing with CS is what bothers me so much about them. I generally have no problems with people having their own CS or owning a CS, but sometimes I see people get really defensive about their CS and downright accusing others of "stealing" just because of a few similar traits/coincidences and start drama over it. It gets real ugly real fast at times.
I agree with the CS thing. I actually own a few CS, as well as an unapproved MYO slot, and I'm desperately wanting a birdfolk MYO(I heard they're reopening for unlimited slots next sunday).
However, I still have a mixed opinion about CS. I agree with Neolightchaos about humanoid species, and it's why I'm not very interested in them, but I'm interested in a decent few.
uhh closed species... i like because thats what got me into making actual characters
closed species characters shouldnt be treated as any different than normal characters because they're not inheritally bad and can be really creative and have nice communities
