Man I would l love some people to HC and/or draw with again but I'm so asocial, lmao. Also life has hit really hard; it'd be a struggle to draw with anyone anyway. /eyes how I still haven't started Inktober
But real talk, why start an orchestra if no one can play their instruments? I swear that on my search for the right version of Peter and the Wolf I found at least four versions where the Wolf part, the bird chasing part, and the marching part sounded like that recording of A Space Odyssey where they all switched instruments

@venomouswolf Of course! I swear I opened like 50 versions yesterday, some of which on obscure sites, so I can't find 'em all again. I was really tired when I did it all oml. The reason I link the ones below is because they are up to double as slow as the version I love the most, and it just sounds so... slow-paced, action-devoid, and badly rehearsed, but take that with a grain of salt from someone who knows nothing about music. I was more making a joke than trying to insult the players
For starters, this version of the first approach of the Wolf is so much slower than it sounds like there was no sense of the mood this part should've shown. It just doesn't sound threatening c': In fact, many on that album just sound wrong to me. I swear for this part they lost the actual music sheets for the song and just went with something sounding similar. That slowness especially shows in this part - I feel like the horn players can produce much more accurate sounds having heard the threatening low mood the instrument can be capable of, you know?
So many of them fail to capture the great threat the wolf should represent, and that's my issue with it. Tbh
Funnily enough when searching for the versions to link here, I finally just now found out that my fav recording was Lenard Bernstein's version. How did I not find that yesterday? At least now I can give it a name should I lose my coveted file
ElithianFox O....Weeeelp agreed he joke tweet is more than accurate xD Listening to that one I just kinda had to sit there like "wait was that it, was that the wolf?" I had to replay through it because I thought I had just missed it or something (it almost sounds like part of it got superimposed on another bit?) just going to have to give their version of Carnival of Animals a listen to next.......

@venomouswolf Exactly! The reason why I love the suite is because of how effective it is. The percussion helps a lot there, and some of them lack oomph.

Within a week of me challenging myself to write a short fiction everyday using a prompt from Inktober, I have written 22 and a half pages of English language short fics with 11260 words. The down side is I increasingly notice that my pool of vocabs is diminishing steadily as I begin to run out of ideas and the energy to phrase the lines in a more fancy fashion. Orz
...And I have 24 more days to survive the constant writing. *plugs an IV into my arm*
