PSA: The user "turkeythedog" is selling/trading design(s) they received for free. Right now I can confirm that many they are "getting rid of" are up for at least offers. I'm absolutely furious, because I've given them many designs for free. And right now said designs are currently here as if they were a joke. I was hoping they were going to a great home, but obviously they are not. The comments they've created asking for the characters are even still on them, so you can see for yourself.
Just like this character, who clearly resides in their sale/trade folder.
Just warning all of you in case they pop up again. I've messaged them saying its wrong to sell and trade characters you've received for free without permission, but they have not yet responded. Being that I messaged them several minutes ago, but that was before I went into their "others" folder and found much more than one free character "up for offers".
Doctor_Sawbones thanks for the heads up! I went ahead and contacted anyone that had given them freebies just so they don't have to deal with them again. Gosh that's horrible. I don't know what's up with all the scammers lately in the bin but they need to be banned or something. :(
They (turkeythedog) have been popping up a lot in the bin so there's no telling how many free designs they have now that they're going to try and profit from.
MaryMaggotFace Its really sad >.< It makes me upset that things like this can happen. But its definitely no problem!
They contacted me back and said that if any character they had was up for sale/trade that they got for free, then that was a mistake. Which would be fine, since there is only one in their sale/trade folder that I can prove was free. However, that does not excuse the fact that their "others" folder says that anyone can offer on those characters that they specifically got as a gift.
They had also asked if they could resell/trade if their gift character had art they paid for with real or virtual currency. Which makes me believe they get the character only to buy art for them and give them away - which I guess isn't any better.
I'm not going to lie, I really think you should have waited for their reply. It seems like this was a mistake. We can only assume that people are maliciously claiming to resell free designs if they get a warning, and continue anyways despite having seen that warning and understanding it.
There wasn't enough time for them to react to your message. It is not fair of you to assume any intent on their part so soon.
Thanks for letting me know. Next time I'll wait, but I guess I may have reacted a bit too soon out of being upset.
FreeFallingUp13 they seem to be doing this with a lot of designs they were given for free, not just one or two of them, that doesn't really seem accidental to me. Hopefully they move the characters or give them back because selling freebies isn't okay.
