Hi!

Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.

I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

Edit: I didn't mean to post ic aaaaaaaa

Spoilers: Rules

- Don't be very rude or snarky to others. Remember, everyone has their own personal opinions.

- Disagreeing with someone's opinion is allowed, as long as it's not rude.

- Yo don't namedrop people, even if they're not on this site.

- To avoid causing a mess, refrain from starting an argument at all times!

- If there's something wrong going on in this thread, or if it's going out-of-hand, please PM me so that I can take care of it!

- Vaguing someone is prohibited, and it's connected to the third rule.

- Please do not post more than twice per page, so that it won't cause too much of a mess.

- It's okay if you vent, don't go too all-out on it. This is not the Vent Board.

- Also, please try not to turn this thread into a saltfest.

- Please, no opinions focused on racism, LGBT, politics, religion and the like. These will cause a massive flamewar. Controversial opinions are also not allowed unless taken lightly.

- Don't say stuff like "I don't like X" or "What? I love X!" in a way that's aggressive. This is meant to be a nice thread about sharing your unpopular opinions, not countering someone else's opinion.

-If it's something nsfw, use a spoiler box, or blackout the text  like this

- Don't call this thread out as a "bad idea." If you don't like this thread, please do not post here.

-Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning, or ban depending on how severely you broke the rules.

Ey yo,  if you see someone breaking the rules, pm me. I love it when ppl do this because I'm a blind bih.

None (yet, but I think it's time to bring this bad boy out.)

Those threads where the OC is assigned with a canon character from a specific media are just kinda… dumb? Dumb isn’t the right way to describe it, but like… aren’t there people who are somewhat opposed to other people that compare their OCs to existing characters? Sure, I do it mostly jokingly or if it’s coincidental, but on those threads… doesn’t sound right ain’t it.

EDIT: I added more context I didn’t meant to kill the thread :/

Pineapple on pizza is FINE. It just depends on the sauce. The only ingredient that does not ever belong on pizza is fucking MUSTARD (EW DUDE)!!!

insomnimac

^ bro who puts mustard on pizza? They must be stopped

On the topic of condiments, ketchup is the worst condiment. Mustard and mayo >>>> ketchup

LovelyTheLoser

Ranch on pizza/meat is so good and I'm tired of pretending it's not

+ on mayo. A sandwich without any mayo is like an angel without its wings

Corn is so underrated I love corn. I eat in my rice, Mac n cheese, mashed taters, everything

apodoforcas

^ corn is one of the best foods out there tbh like it tastes so good with pretty much anything, including by itself

also cottage cheese is good to eat with pretty much anything, including by itself

tartintart

I think it's just me, but I don't get the appeal of shipping. 😅

DeweyFisher

tartintart definitely not just you, lol. especially when shipping wars start and people overlook important parts of the characters just to write smutty fanfic

strange-quiet

^^ I barely ever ship anyone unless it's my own characters anymore cause fandoms get so toxic over shipping discourse

god so true with the hate watching shit. ppl were so mad about velma, however gave it enough revenue for another season. meanwhile actual interesting shows with passion behind them just don't get talked enough. ppl really give the companies the opportunity to make more of these awful cash grabs and prove their point

finaldestination

i dont like closed species. i think some of the characters can be cool i just dont like them

I think procreate is a great app that is not only cheap, portable, but easy to use and rather impressive with what it includes. That being said, I also think it can become a very limiting application to artists. I've noticed it recently after having to swap back to iPad while I'm away from home.

that take may be a little controversial/weird???. I don't mean to be rude with this opinion, It's just how I personally feel about it.

Cheap art is less special. It reminds me of mass produced products when you go shopping on wish or aliexpress. I myself went for cheap art before ( I am speaking >7$ fully rendered fullbody art and similar) and the art work didn't felt special to me which is why I don't like going for opportunities like that at all. I'm not talking art quality, it's nice art. But the cheaper something is the less I actually find joy in it . Especially with customised work, such as an art commission. It feels like it was made by someone who gets commissioned on a daily based and has no energy to really take the time to put love and thought into my piece. I'm just one of many who pays them 3 bucks or so and they get to draw my character in a rush just like how they do with the majority of their work. I, for the same reason also dislike getting art from artists who constantly have a a ton of work on their queue while at the same time working on it fast. It's the same here again, it makes the art so so less special to me. What I notice on top of that is that expressions, poses and all that repeat. which is not surprising at all considering how many (quick) artworks have been done.

+1 on Closed Species. Really don't get the hype or popularity behind them but that's probably bc most of them I can't really draw due to being furry/anthros since humanoid closed species that aren't kemonomimis or have other design aspects I like are rare
