Hello! My name is Thyme. I write and use my characters quite a bit in roleplay/creative writing but I'm still setting up each character's profiles on Toyhouse. That being said, my Toyhouse is honestly pretty bare right now but I'm working on profiles since I just recently started using Toyhouse more avidly. I'm in the process of transferring stuff from my personal websites and personal offsite roleplays to Toyhouse to act as a proper central character hub. I'm interested in trying out for https://toyhou.se/1343681.wta :,^)! For the purpose of writing for him, I'd like to call him Raph (short for Raphael).

Intentions: I've been wanting to create a world that called Inochi ("Life") that centers on a human, Raph, and my newest character, Jin (https://toyhou.se/3936558.jin) and his role as a well meaning, friendly garden steward... who also happens to be a shiba inu + fawn hybrid. Being an impossible hybrid, Jin is seen as a disgrace of nature. He's sweet and loving but society rejects him due to fear of the unknown. The human, on the other hand (who I'd hope to be Raph), isn't a societal reject but rather feels alone and dejected despite being in proximity with people at most given times. Raph fits general societal standards: looks fine, healthy, polite mannerisms, and lawful. Despite all of this, his struggle comes internally from trying to find meaning in life in a world he ultimately feels is so superficial and meaningless. Humanity, to Jin, seems to have lost touch with empathy and therefore loses the meaning of what it means to be human: vulnerable, insecure, and doubt. In a world obsessed with status, titles, money, and power, Jin is essentially disillusioned and feels as a foreigner to humanity. He rejects the superficial nonsense of humanity and tries to derive his own meaning of life and his humanity but struggles to find or define it. That struggle is also what leads to his constant frustration with self.

Jin is aware of society's great disdain towards his nature but chooses to ignore it in favor of the potential to befriend someone. Great loneliness is what drives the little shiba fawn. Wanting to be so accepted by society, Jin tries to do anything to help society but is continually rejected. Eventually, Jin comes across Raph who chances upon his garden. Raph, feeling nihilistic and disillusioned, rejects the shiba fawn's wishes to make conversation. After several hours, Jin comes to find that Raph had fallen asleep in his garden and leaves the boy an old but warm blanket. The next day, Raph wakes up to find himself wrapped up and feels a little touched by Jin's small act of kindness in spite of Raph's previous behavior. Jin returns with a large leaf wrapped with fresh berries which he offers to Raph as food. The two talk and eventually start a dialogue about why Raph slept that night in Jin's garden and the dialogue letter extends to of society.

After that, Raph returns home but continues to think of the strange but welcoming conversation he had with the shiba fawn. This sparks the beginning of their friendship which I hope to continue to write for.

I tried to make a brief summary for an intro but basically, the idea is for Raph to act as disillusionment and highlight the wrongs of humanity/society while Jin portrays the good. I'm not sure if this makes sense but I wanted to write something that explored the human condition. I specifically wanted to apply for Raph because his character art is similar to what I'm looking for: the face of an innocent boy. His white clothes represent innocence to me while his wings (which would be only metaphorically used in my narrative as I need him to be human) represent disillusionment since wings means flight and in this case, flight from humanity. The leaves that tangle his body would represent nature which is a big theme in my narrative because I wanted to show that nature innately belongs to everyone and not just a view. The "garden" whose title I'm still working on is represented as the bridge between figurative worlds.
