✨Tentative WTA Giveaway [closed!] ✨

Posted 5 years, 8 months ago (Edited 5 years, 7 months ago) by Waltz

Entries are closed now! Thank you again so much to everyone who entered. I'll be going over these, and responding to everyone by the end of the weekend!

Hello friendos! I'm feeling rather illish today, so trying something fun to pump up my spirits!

I will be entertaining WTA (write-to-adopt) entries on a number of my characters! If you don't know, this means that you write a story for the character, or talk about what you'll do with them, their role in a story, etc, and if I like it, they're yours for free!

Here are the characters that will be available for entry!:

Boop | 2 | 3 | 4

Rules / Guidelines

  • All entries must be posted in this thread. Do not leave them as comments on the character (unless they are in my normal WTA section) - I will delete any comments left on the characters themselves. Do not PM me your entry, either - I want to keep track of everything together!
  • Write as much or as little as you like, in any format you like! This will be judged on quality/interest however, not quantity. Show me your best creativity, and wow me! I want any character I give away to go to a better home than I've given them.
  • Enter for as many as you like! Be sure to specify the character(s) by link, though, for sake of clarity.
  • Please do not write things like "they will be one of my mains and I will draw them every day;" it's not realistic and we both know that won't happen! I don't care how often a character gets "used" so long as they're cherished.
  • Please do not reuse any of the names or story elements I've already given characters, unless it's a generic element; I may reuse the stories even after the designs are gone.
  • Any characters who are given away are to be treated as gifts - they cannot be traded or resold after! Only gifted forward or given back to me. If I find you trying to trade or sell a character I've gifted you, you will be blocked (unless the designer's ToS expressly allows trading gifts).
  • This event will be open for two weeks, until September 7, 23:59 US Eastern time. I will make my selections at that time. (Edit: Given how many seriously awesome entries there are so far, I may close judging on some of these a little bit early, depending on the numbers! I won't be closing any before 8/31 though, so please take your time!)
  • I reserve the right not to give away any characters for whom there are no compelling entries - sorry!
  • If you are not selected, it's nothing personal! Please do not pester others who receive a character however.
  • If there's a character you absolutely want, please feel free to offer $$/trades for them also, and I'll tell you if they're available for such!
Thanks for checking this out, and best of luck to all who choose to enter! <3
Roheryn

Noticed he's on hold for someone now. Going to have to withdraw my entry since I don't see any others who'd fit this role (will likely reuse this idea for a future character), but thank you very much for the opportunity and for hosting this event nonetheless.

Trying out for this lovely. https://toyhou.se/723358.versa#2624024

I... got a little bit carried away writing about him.

Sabeh* - toyhou.se/723358.versa#2624024

*Name may be subject to change

It is not known from whence he came, snatched at birth and raised among the elves.

Sabeh is believed to have come from a dying out race, although none can say for sure for the records mention nothing like him. It is in part due to that, combined with the vibrant colours and intricate patterns upon his skin, that he was grabbed.

Now a young adult, Sabeh has been living with the elves for as long as he can remember and hated it the whole time for he is considered a beacon. A  beacon of beauty. Amongst a realm of beings who prize beauty above all else, he is considered priceless. A prize to be owned by only the highest in the social standings.

The king.

The king considers Sabeh his son and spoils him with any riches and such that he might desire, but Sabeh does not reciprocate. To him, he is trapped. He is a servant to the king. A servant to his appearance. He does enjoy the pampering and spoiling, however, so he hides these feelings, putting on a facade, acting as if he does not mind. As if the king were family.

Sabeh is expected to sit and be pretty, but at the same time is treated as a  son of the king, albeit not quite as a prince. This results in him having rather conflicted emotions in regards to his current station. He hates feeling like a pet, like a servant, and he hates some of the ways he is treated, but it also allows him to pursue many interests.

The capital of the elvish town in which he lives is home to a large dragon stable which he loves visiting. He is mildly magical, although his abilities have many limitations, alongside speeding plant growth he has the ability to speak with animals and creatures of any shape or size.  This is in part why he enjoys his visits with the dragons, for when he needs advice they are willing to give it or at least some of them. He has, however, considered running away and getting one of the dragons to take him far from his home, but despite his lack of satisfaction with his life, he has never followed through. He very highly fears the unknown and knows very little about the lands of men.

Unlike men, partially due to being raised by elves, Sabeh considers the dragons, and any animals even down to the smallest mouse, his equals and friends.

This may be amplified by the way he is sometimes treated as an animal. Much like many birds, twice a  year he moults his feathers. During this time, he is expected to remain in his corridors and not allowed to exit them. After one time when he was younger, there are now armed guards posted at every door and window for that period of time.

While he doesn't know for sure, he suspects that the king keeping him hidden during that time is due to his wings being patchy in appearance and not the definition of beauty he believes they should be. While kept in containment, he distracts himself with books and his plants. His corridors are filled to the brim with plants which twice a year grow drastically and seem to take on a life of their own. The books are also scattered through his rooms and are a mixture of history books and novels. When upset or scared, he often will hide among his potted plants and read,  disappearing into another world for as long as he can.

During his moult, it is not uncommon for servants to be sent in to gather feathers he has lost which the king then decorates himself with. Sabeh has hated this since he was really young, finding it a very invasive practice, but he lives with it.

Name: Sabeh

Gender: Male

Race: Unknown

Age: 20

Personality:

Sabeh is, despite how he is expected to portray himself, quite shy. Even in social settings, or rather, especially in social settings, he chooses not to speak unless spoken to and would much rather be hiding away than being complimented for his appearance. He is very spoiled, which has led to a lack of ability to fend for himself, leaving him very dependant on others. While he reads a lot and is book smart, he isn't so much street smart, in part due to always having at least one guard trailing behind him. He isn't very assertive, nor is he very aggressive, but he isn't a  total pushover either. If he feels the need to object, he does so in a  passive-aggressive manner, much to the dismay of the king. He is quite accepting and sees most as equals. Due to a lack of actual life experience, however, he is very indecisive and struggles to make decisions on his own. He is very gentle, and it isn't uncommon for him to be seen talking to his plants and helping injured animals in any way he possibly can. His sense of personal worth is quite low, as he believes that he as a person is nothing to be appreciated due to most people only ever seeing who he is on the outside. He is lost, and conflicted, and due to his position he sometimes struggles with remaining happy and retreats into a shell with his plants and stories.

Likes:

Plants, animals, books, his collections, being pampered, learning, pomegranates

Dislikes:

His father figure, moulting, feeling like a slave, pineapples, conflict, feeling useless

Miscellaneous:

Sabeh enjoys to sing to himself and actually has a lovely voice (he has been compared to a songbird for his colours and voice). Unfortunately, this results in his singing being desired, making him sing at public gatherings and festivals from time to time.

Through all of his reading, Sabeh has developed an extreme desire to see the ocean. Alas, this is unlikely to happen soon.

He has a collection of rocks and feathers. When asked, he avoids any mention of why those two items are so special to him. In rocks, he prefers the ones others might find dull, and to him, they symbolize the wrongness of the culture in which he lives. Beauty can be everywhere,  not just physical. The feathers remind him that he is not alone, that there are others, even if he does not know them.

He loves being pampered, so although his hair is always intricately braided; he doesn't know how to braid his own hair.

o  He is a vegetarian and absolutely refuses to eat meat, much preferring fruits an berries. Even being present while another consumes meat makes him highly uncomfortable.

Note on "The King": The king is a character I have in the works, unlinked due to lack of art or information uploaded anywhere.

His name is undecided though, so he has not been referred to by it anywhere in this entry.

---

Depending on how the plotlines go, I may have Sabeh become unknowingly involved in a rebellion or plot against the king after becoming associated with a member of the elvish nobility who doesn't agree with the current method of the ruling of the kingdom... the kings younger brother. He may eventually realize this and have to deal with conflicting emotions about "betraying" the one who essentially keeps him as a slave. This is, however, just one possible outcome and as I develop the story and even if it doesn't happen, I feel like he could be quite fun to write and develop. I might also consider having him find a friend (maybe in one of the guards who guards his corridors during moult?) who would see beyond the outside, allowing for more development on Sabeh's part. If that were to occur, he might end up developing a crush on said guard for being willing to see him for who he is, but it would likely be more of a platonic relationship or closer to a little/big brother thing.

(While I am trying out, would I happen to have any characters who might interest you for them? You can look at all, but I believe Neto is the only nft at the moment, and my eliore is tentatively on hold)

Waltz

Roheryn I didn't see anyone from your characters who I could use, but I did love your entry! I'll be sure to consider it! <3

Entering for Versa or https://toyhou.se/1668754.sales-hub/gallery#5973242! In this story he has been renamed to Oktai, for now.

https://toyhou.se/723358.versa#2624019

In the far north, there exists the northern capital city - Urdu-Balik. It is a city filled with toughened warriors and master craftsman, who carve legendary figures out of stone and jade. They revere the brave and loyalty, and turn their noses up at cowardice. It is this mindset that drives their sons and daughters to achieve their very best.

Prince Oktai Tömörbaatar is one of many sons, a middle child and only a few months younger than Chulunbold, who would later become a legend in the period they currently lived in - the soon to be named Period of Fire. Like his brother, as a child trapped in between many sisters and older brothers, he always felt he need to get recognition. He thirsted for the attention he so desperately needed, and he didn’t get any from the carvings he made no matter how beautiful or how highly praised they were by the elders in the city. Each time his father would walk past, and Oktai would hang his head low. Compared to his older brothers, his swordsmanship was pitiful, and compared to his sisters his works of art were like glorified pebbles.

The only way he could get his father to look at him was to do something daring, and completely unheard of in their family name.

Ascend the mountain ranges.

Behind their city of Urdu-Balik, the mountain ranges spread across the north side of the continent. Urdu-Balik was cold but the mountains were even colder. They say if one were to close their eyes even once then you would never wake up again. Only the experienced could ever hope to climb it, or the Pon’yamume people that lived in their frozen villages inside it.

In the middle of the night, Oktai left his house with a sack of supplies, slipping into the night and scaling the walls that encased his city. When he looked back, he saw the ring of heroic statues with their jade tipped staves. Their green eyes winked in the light as if they were encouraging him. It filled Oktai with immeasurable courage.

The journey was bitter and tough. Once or twice he heard men shouting his name behind him, and assuming his father had sent out a search party for him, fled even deeper into the mountains. His goal? The Fuzou Tree, the tree of life that grew in a cove deep within the mountains. A single berry from its branches could fill the stomachs of men for a whole day, and the waters never froze over no matter how cold it was. A mini paradise trapped within the snow.

And at last, the young prince slid down the cliff face, landing in the so called Mulberry Cove. Growing from a small hill covered in startling green, the tree stood mighty and proud. Its branches were sagging from how many berries were growing. Greedily the prince reached his hand out for it and tugged. But not only did he take a bunch of berries, he had taken the branch with it too. And at that, the air began to hum with anger. The spirits within the tree hissed with anger, at the boy who had no intention of giving back to them, when he only took. The Fuzou Tree cursed him, transforming him into a creature of nature.

“You shall be a sprite with no loyalty,” the spirits said. “A creature destined to die.”

For when a tree sprite is born not tied to a tree, their life force could not be used to grow fruit. Eventually, it would grow out of control, fester, and consume him whole. He will give back to the earth as a tree, a tree that was once a human.

Afraid and filled with horror the young prince fled. Scared of how his father would react, he never returned to Urdu-Balik. The signs of coming chaos waned high in the sky as he ran far, far away, seeking refuge in the east side of the continent where he found refuge in a forest growing healthily beside the capital. There he met carefree monk who seemed to understand Oktai’s feelings with a single glance, whose body was covered in painful, red berries that sprouted from his body.

“Come,” the man said, as he removed his mask. He was surprisingly young, those his eyes were wise. “I will refine your body, it will be even better than the finest stone of Urdu-Balik.”

And so this was the beginning of a long, long story, of how Prince Oktai of the Urdu-Baliks became the inheritor of the then not yet formed Tengu Sect, the finest student of the legendary monk Souseihou.

PERSONALITY

OKTAI, in the beginning, was quite frankly an innocent child with a hidden great temper. He was an individual who let his heart control his actions, and never thought before he acted. But Oktai was a kind-hearted boy who also wore his heart on his sleeve, and did anything that was humanly possibly to both feel good about himself as he tried to squash down his growing inferiority complex and to get his father’s attention. Jealous of his older siblings and his younger siblings alike, he could only ever connect with the one that was the same age as him - Chulunbold, that is, until he ran off to pursue some criminal. Being the boy that he was, Oktai didn’t necessarily blame his brother, because they shared their mutual feelings on not being able to stand out. Later on, however, his curse would allow this genuine love to fester into false beliefs of betrayal. Oktai eventually became quite humble under the wing of Souseihou, who at the time was still continuing his journey as a masked monk. Souseihou believed in becoming more peaceful at heart by removing all worldly desires, so Oktai’s innate greed eventually disappeared under the monk’s teachings. While not a saint when he emerged as a graduate, Oktai was clearly more forgiving, less pessimistic and saw himself in a more confident way, even if he was permanently trapped in the form of a non-human.

One important thing to note in particular was that he never quite fixed his relationship with his family, including Chulunbold, and especially with his father. He eventually disowned his family name, to take on the task of taking the helm from his teacher, who eventually started a sect to continue his teachings.

RANDOM TRIVIA

- even though Souseihou gave up almost every desire, the one thing he couldn’t was alcohol, meaning he dragged his dear green pupil to drink with him. Oktai could never take more than one shot.

- although he never got back along with his brother, Oktai was alright with his brother’s travelling companion (and longtime crush) Pas’kuru.

- the berries that occasionally grow from his body contain juice made from his blood, is both poisonous and slimy when popped. the branches that grow out like spikes are poisonous too, they are like quills. the scent of his flowers cause nausea, so he made it a habit to pluck them out and replace them with nice smelling ones.

And more:

One for https://toyhou.se/1048990.ganache

Ganache was once a typical greed demon. A hoarder, greedy and selfish with a love for all things sparkly. He wrecked havoc in his territory on the outskirts of Toukagen. It was the perfect place, after all, with its colorful and extravagant environment, where everybody decked themselves in gold and brightly colored silks. Ganache licked his lips at the very thought of jumping on some poor passersby and robbing them of their jewelry. Crime wasn't unheard of in the city before, but crime was not unwelcomed. Beaten by a mob of Tougaken citizens, Ganache, all black and blue, decided that it would be best for him to lie low for the time being.

Then he would come back. A greed demon never quits. Never.

Finding himself still itching for gold, he decided that the best thing to do for now was to get a job. A job required effort, but at least he could get money, even if he only hoarded it and was in actuality so frugal he never really spent it on anything. The only place that would take a guy like him, even when he was disguised, was a sweets shop that was run by an elderly couple that was about to hand their shop to their daughter after they were soon to retire. With only the three of them running the store, they needed a new employee to haul about the ingredients they used for their sweets. Not only were their basics good, but they liked to make different and exotic flavored sweets too. When Ganache looked into their storeroom, it looked as if they had connections all over the place.

Though at first he thought it would be beneficial for him to stay at a place with that many customers and connections, over time Ganache found himself becoming confusingly fond of the place. It was homey and warm, the daughter-now-owner would give him a cup of hot chocolate after a day's hard work. As embarassing as it would be, his tail wagged whenever he made his way to the store every morning.

Even when he came out to the family that had basically taken him in as who he once was, they only seemed focused on who he was now. Ganache really had changed. And also developed a sweet tooth.

Learning the ropes from the young owner, occasionally he stays in Toukagen to man the shop or run it, and other times he goes searching for ingredients himself for the next batch of chocolates, using this opportunity to explore the world. The greedy and gruff demon turned into one hell of a tsundere. But he's a real sweet boy.

heftylesbian

I'd like to do one more WTA for this babe because she keeps catching my eye. ;u; If you want, also, for either of the ones I wrote about (first one is on page 1), you can look at the babes I'm trading

Strict, reliable, ambitious, fast, and cold. These are the traits that make Signy stand out from others. As a captain in a special tactical force unit, she has to always be on guard. The people she's training tend to be delinquents who did crimes that weren't bad enough to signify going to prison. The government came up with this program as a way to, instead of having them reform and keep being delinquents and possibly cause worse crimes, to do something good for the people. So far, this program has been running for five years and have tried three thousand students, and has been extremely successful.

Because of the success, Signy obtained this job via being one of the delinquents. Because she was one of the first students, and how successful the program was on her, she decided to be loyal to it and help others in her position. She was a teenager who pick pocketed to survive. She lived on the streets by the streets, and because of how hard it was on her it caused her to shut herself off from others and appear outwardly cold. She's very nonchalant about everything, and thanks the program for helping her get off of the streets, she believes she'd be dead by now if it weren't for the program.

Besides being a teacher of this program, Signy trains a lot in different weaponry. Her favorites being a hand gun and a long sword. She is pretty good at using them, the hand gun more so than the sword. She trains so much because she hopes that it'll help her become a better teacher.

//slams hands on the table//

OH MY GOD I LOVE ACACIA.
I would probably do anything for her right now, and I will do the WTA, but I also want to say that I'll do art for her. Like. A lot of it.

Okay calming down and tracking my progress of writing. (9:39 -10:45)

Sarei is a young demon , and one of the few friends that Damien has actually made on his own. Since a young age she's had a need... a need... for speed. youcouldcallheraSPEEDDEMON. Sarei never takes off her roller blades, and has mastered getting around on them. She doesn't have many abilities on her skill list, but is incredibly agile and maneuverable. And fast. Her only other unique power is transforming the bow of her uniform into a functioning flail, the ones in her hair acting like throwing stars. She doesn't like the flail because it throws off her balance though.

Sarei can be kind of mean, but not intentionally. She's energetic and pushy, somewhat inconsiderate, but it's only because she doesn't stop to think about how other people might feel about whatever she wants. She has a lot of spunk packed inside of her, and doesn't like taking no for an answer. Sarei does try to be a good friend, even if it's making decisions on people's behalf. As sporty and active as she is, Sarei is actually a total girly girl. She likes doing other demon's hair, makeup, and especially manicures (even if it's the son of the devil).

Although Sarei was "born" in the lower ring of hell, her adventurous spirit often leads her everywhere but. Sarei was meant to be a part of the big gang that controlled the lower ring, but she manages to slip away from her duties. Being raised around such violent demons, she has gained a few less than desirable traits. She rather enjoys pranks and watching others suffer thanks to spending time with Inu before meeting Damien. She's also quick to resolve things with her fists rather than words.

Sarei likes to go by "Rei" most of the time, and tries to refuse answering to her full name. She's also totally into anime after stumbling into Hell's Library and finding old manga. The way she dresses is heavily inspired by one that she found. The bandaids are actually not a part of it though, nor are they actually for any injuries. After an "accident" with Damien, she decided to start wearing them on her arms so he'd feel better. Sarei also has a huge sweet tooth for the desserts that they serve in the Devil's mansion and makes Damien go get her some.

Lowkey feel stupid for hitting post on accident, but I hope you like it. I'm going to write a oneshot too, because I really wanna show I want her. TvT

The path was slowly narrowing, but Sarei followed it close. The pinkette had yet to see this part of Hell, and she couldn't help but persist up. Her wheels whirred against the pale red path, her eyes trained on the top of the dangerous looking cliffside. Rei had to actually stop for a moment, just to take in the view of the fiery landscape below her. A smile made its way to her face and she raised an arm to shield her eyes and look further down. The concern for just how far she'd actually traveled barely hit her.
She let out a sigh and put her hands on her hips. "Maybe once I get to the top, I could build a shack and always have this view..." She hummed to herself.
The demon turned on her heel and pushed off again, grunting, as it took more effort now. In the end, Sarei was using the tree branched that extended over the unmaintenced trail to get up to the surprisingly existent back gate. She furrowed her brow in curiosity, grasping the metal bars-- slightly grossed out by the thick layer of moss that they had accumulated. The demon squinted through the gaps, trying to see... just about anything.
It seemed to be a thankless task, everything looking too dark and blurry. So Rei did the next best thing and backed up as far as she could, throwing herself at the gate in hopes it would open. The metal door burst with the impact, but the celebration was short lived. Before the pinkette could regain her footing, she slammed into a smaller figure that was kneeling in front of where her body was wanting to go.

Sarei groaned, the world around her spinning. Just like the front wheel on her skates. "Heheh..."  Her head fell back into the patchy grass. She felt like she was floating, faeries doing dances in front of her red eyes.
"Owie..." The small whine brought her back to reality, and the stinging pain in her right arm. Rei tried to sit up, her head throbbing; ahead of her she saw the crouched figure of what looked like a child on their knees and back hunched over. She blinked, trying to get a better look at the person ahead of her. The female quickly noticed the thin spade-- no heart shaped wire tail that flailed around in distress. Rei shook her head, attempting to crawl over to the crying body.
She coughed a bit when she got too close. "Yo... are you okay..?" she said softly. They raised their head a bit, one of their long white sleeves over their nose. She could catch a few details, like the grey eyes, with pupils that seemed to reflect the light over them.
"No..." Was the weak voice that responded. Sarei cringed because she'd never hit someone while skating before, now concerned she'd seriously hurt a little kid. She pushed through her own pain to try and help.
"A-ah... let me see?" she stumbled her words but the kid slowly moved their hand, revealing a large trickle of black from their small nose. It wasn't much, but it certainly stopped the demon girl's heart.

There was only one bloodline in all of hell that carried black blood.

"O-ohhhh my god! Oh my god I just ran into Satan's child! The Satan's own child! On roller blades!" She had forgotten about her injuries, pacing back and forth the best she could on her skates in the grass. She barely noticed the kid following her movements blankly.
"It's fine--"
She snapped in front of him again. "No it's not, Lucifer will have my head for this!"
"He really won't..." The kid mumbled.
Rei grabbed them by the shoulders, their grey eyes widening. "How do you know that!?"
"I'm.... his son..?" He blinked and she stopped. "I think I'd know if he found out about this."
"... You're a guy?" She questioned, looking over him and the dress he was wearing. He nodded, his short hair bobbing.
"I'm sure it's hard to believe..." he muttered, and carefully took her hands off him. "I look like I'm a girl right?" he stared right through her being, making her feel just a bit awful about her assumption.
"Are you uh... forced to wear that?" She pointed to the dress with a disgusted look. She realized that source of her sickness was the large cross that was on it.
"I don't even know you."
She frowned. "Well fine, be that way. You live all the way up here, and I bet no one ever wants to see you, then I show up and you don't want to talk!" She turned away, crossing her arms.
Rei heard him let out a small sniffle. "Well... yeah.." She looked back and watched him rub his other arm with the bloody sleeved one. She took a few strides and finally sat in front of him.
"Are you lonely?" She questioned, getting a shrug in response.
"Kind of... I have my babysitter but that's it..."
She snickered. "You sound awfully mature for being a little kid."
The pale demon looked up at her again. "I'm 120." He watched as Sarei actually began laughing at him. "Father says it's for the bes--"
"You're 120 and still have a babysitter!" She laid back and rolled on her side, while the boy turned away.
"You should really leave. I don't want you here."
She stopped quickly, sitting back up. "Woah, it was hard getting up here, please don't kick me out!" Rei's laugh was more nervous now. It was rare a lower ring demon could ever meet a member of Lucifer's family tree, and she didn't want to give it up just yet. "What's your name?" She leaned next to him with a grin.
"..Damien..." He mumbled, ignoring her pretty well. She poked his almost white cheek, frustrated about him not looking at her anymore.
"Damien eh? Lucifer has a son, dressed like a girl, named Damien." She seemed like she was going to laugh again.
"Yes! Now knock it off!" He smacked her hand away and finally got up.

It's almost 3 am and I've got school tomorrow, but I really really hope you enjoyed reading it! I'd love to have her!

I also wanted to give you another thank you for her, she's still one of my favourites and a lot of people really seem to love her too!

Edit: I didn't think about this until class, but Damien has a pretty extreme character arc regarding the gang Sarei would be in. Problem is I never really thought about how he actually ended up there, until now. Acacia would mesh perfectly well for the role of putting him there. I don't want to go into much detail about it, since it's a pretty big thing in his story that I'm not ready to share. Just know she'd be a part of that.

Edit: I saw someone else draw a picture of the character they were writing for, so I decided to try that too before this ended! I couldn't find a decent camera for the life of me, but oh well!

Setting Info:

To start, the setting will take place on the world of Zenith Earth on the continent of Ereon; this is a world worked on primarily by my friend, which is why all the lore pages are on her account, but we’re working on the plotline he would exist in together. In this timeline, the setting is high-level tech and very futuristic, though magic does also exist and is commonly practiced in other areas of the world (namely the other main continent on the planet, Ambrioxus). Ereon is primarily for human settlement (as they were driven from Ambrioxus over the course of the plotlines leading up to this one) and a species called the iberus. The iberus (what he would be) are supernatural beings that came to Zenith Earth in the great crossover event between the magic plane of existence and the mortal one. They are humanoid beings that specialize in shapeshifting magic, often able to take the form of animals or fantastical beasts and sometimes carrying over traits from their animal forms into their human ones, such as ears or tails. They’re essentially kemonomimis with expansive lore and origins behind them.

Because of the history of the humans of Ereon, magic is incredibly taboo throughout the continent. Several large settlements exist within a larger network of government that rules over all the settlements throughout the continent as one large nation, the badlands beyond each city largely uninhabitable because of harsh climate conditions or because of dangerous wildlife and monsters. Each city also acts as an independent state and serves its own functions, though, the greater “federal” government very rarely stepping in to dictate decisions on a small level. There are two cities we’re focusing on in this plot: Zion and Styx. Zion is a utopian city on the surface of the planet and the city of Styx is a dystopian society that exists directly underground beneath Zion. The inhabitants of the utopia are unaware of the secret that lurks beneath their feet and how exactly it benefits them. Malaki will be in the city of Zion. If you would like to read more about this world it can be found in the link here.

The population of Zion is a mix between humans, iberus, and vampires (most of the lesser vampire variety). The knowledge that vampires exist and are actively hunting the citizens of Zion is common, but society tends to turn a blind eye to the fact that it’s a growing problem. They’re essentially constantly being hunted, but nothing much can be done about it because there’s no discernable way to know if someone is a vampire at surface level; they act exactly as humans or iberus would, hiding in plain sight until they’re able to make their move. When organized vampires hunt it is almost always at night and many wear masks to conceal their true identity so they can continue to leave normal lives in the society in addition to feeding their bloodlust. A task force within the police force of the society (the Black Coats and the higher ranked White Coats) is responsible for dealing with these vampire attacks and eliminating the threat to the utopia. They devise a plan to deal with the vampires via siphoning magic energy from the dystopian society, Styx, to make some kind of superweapon that will destroy them. So in the meantime, the Coats must do everything they can to try to catch the vampires while magic energy is gathered.

His parents held very happy lives together until he was born. There was a complication during his pregnancy that caused an autoimmune disease to spread through his mother. In result of this disease, she began to have epileptic seizures. Unfortunately, after 7 years of trying to deal with it and help his wife, Malaki’s father had enough. He packed up and left them. Malaki was old enough to be able to call the EMT’s whenever one of his mother’s episodes would break out. After a while, the paramedics taught Malaki what to do and how to help his mother. Their family life was rough, his mother not able to work because of her condition, but she was able to make things at home and sell them to afford food and the apartment rent.

All of the stress and emotions involved in taking care of his mother turned into self-hate. He began to see her pain as an out and often fantasized about being in her shoes. What it would feel like to be trapped like that in your own body with your body attacking itself. He began to experiment with his pain tolerance, finding that he deserved it due to what he caused when he was born. That was the beginning of his masochism. After a long battle with her health, his mother passed away shortly after his 19th birthday.

Malaki used this as an opportunity and a challenge to see what was next in his life. He became a paramedic at the age of 20. The best feeling in the world was that adrenaline rush when it was down to the wire where someone would live or die. He enjoyed his heart beating in his ears as he called out orders to his co-workers on any given case. With being an EMT, not all endings in his profession were happy. He got used to the disappointment of not being able to save everyone thus made him not afraid of the dead or shy away from a body. He treats every patient like family or friends, often having a big smile on his face and a calm voice despite what might be going on around them. He likes to believe this helps people. On a particularly hard day, he'll go back home and light a candle for all who pass away on his hands and say a silent prayer for their souls.

He has a small black book of everyone’s name who died in his profession. He could tell you every single person and under what circumstances it was. He is not one to forget the bad times but no matter how many names are written in the book, he knows that there are twice as more of people he has succeeded in helping. This book is a representation of his personal bible. It is his own way of showing himself how many people he let down in his life and the name on the very first page, is his mothers.

Story going forward: (To roleplay with)

Malaki will be partnered with a lesser vampire named Sirius. These two are forced to work together on a case that involves the vampires. One day he is called to a case with multiple casualties. Multiple EMT’s are on the route including Malaki’s rig. Once arriving on the scene, the officer who got to the call first has told everyone to hold off until the black coats can get there to make sure everything is secure and safe. Malaki is restless and begins to hear a female voice crying for help. Her pleading and begging are too much for him to take and he disrespects orders by rushing in. This causes him to fall into a trap by a gang of leftover vampires trying to pick off first responders. Fortunately, the black coats are not too far away and Sirius ends up saving Malaki’s life (if not get chewed out as well for his antics). From there on, it seems the two are actually forced to work together in trying to figure out the mystery behind this case.

Eventually, the two actually end up being a couple. Malaki discovering Sirius’ secret and offers himself as the vampire’s personal feeder when he can’t find a victim or it is too risky to go out. Malaki doesn’t mind this as much seeing a vampire’s bite has those euphoric capabilities.

I even did a small drawing of his head. I am not an artist at all! lol
