Hello friendos! I'm feeling rather illish today, so trying something fun to pump up my spirits!
I will be entertaining WTA (write-to-adopt) entries on a number of my characters! If you don't know, this means that you write a story for the character, or talk about what you'll do with them, their role in a story, etc, and if I like it, they're yours for free!
Here are the characters that will be available for entry!:
Rules / Guidelines
- All entries must be posted in this thread. Do not leave them as comments on the character (unless they are in my normal WTA section) - I will delete any comments left on the characters themselves. Do not PM me your entry, either - I want to keep track of everything together!
- Write as much or as little as you like, in any format you like! This will be judged on quality/interest however, not quantity. Show me your best creativity, and wow me! I want any character I give away to go to a better home than I've given them.
- Enter for as many as you like! Be sure to specify the character(s) by link, though, for sake of clarity.
- Please do not write things like "they will be one of my mains and I will draw them every day;" it's not realistic and we both know that won't happen! I don't care how often a character gets "used" so long as they're cherished.
- Please do not reuse any of the names or story elements I've already given characters, unless it's a generic element; I may reuse the stories even after the designs are gone.
- Any characters who are given away are to be treated as gifts - they cannot be traded or resold after! Only gifted forward or given back to me. If I find you trying to trade or sell a character I've gifted you, you will be blocked (unless the designer's ToS expressly allows trading gifts).
- This event will be open for two weeks, until September 7, 23:59 US Eastern time. I will make my selections at that time. (Edit: Given how many seriously awesome entries there are so far, I may close judging on some of these a little bit early, depending on the numbers! I won't be closing any before 8/31 though, so please take your time!)
- I reserve the right not to give away any characters for whom there are no compelling entries - sorry!
- If you are not selected, it's nothing personal! Please do not pester others who receive a character however.
- If there's a character you absolutely want, please feel free to offer $$/trades for them also, and I'll tell you if they're available for such!

That's totally understandable! I have a few Ocs like that. <3 If you do decide later you'd feel ready to re-home them and are interested at that point/feel that's the route to go let me know. :3 Either way they seem like a pretty rad character I definitely can't fault you for them being tentive! (My Oc Eli is the same way for me lol)

Tats whipped her head around at the low rumbling behind her. It couldn't be happening. The earth was truly opening beneath her.
And so it did.
The darkness engulfed her and the hat on her head vanished before she could grip it...
She woke to an open space beneath her and feeling of falling grasping her tightly. A man stood over her, tilting his head. He had horns and a tail, and had bright red hair.
"Morning miss- uh- ma'am!" he smiled and offered a hand, which Tats smacked away. The woman huffed
"What am I doing here? Why did you take me from my home, I was finally living a normal life-"
"No, you weren't." a voice came from behind her, and with wide eyes she turned to see her old friend. Clockwork. Had he brought her back? No. That wasn't possible.
"I am not like you people! I don't want to live for eternity! you pathetic pieces of sh-"
The ground opened again.
This time, God was before her. The mass of clods with the brightened face, blinding her and forcing her to look away. This was the man she didn't want to see.
"Was it you? Did you bring me back to this place? You promised if I was good, I could stay on Earth and live my life like any other. You promised I could die like everyone else," the choking sensation within her throat caused her to jerk forward, "you promised I could be!"
The Basics:
God created Tats to be his assistant. When tats expressed dislike, he cast her out of the immortal Crond, promising he could live his life like any other. He knew tats didn't want to live forever like the others. Unfortunately, he went back on his word as it seems he does often to the people in the Crond and brought him back.. only to find a completely new person standing before him.

Quiet and kind, Virgil is a messenger of many things. Granted the divine ability to sift through universes, they take last messages from those typically dying and locate their intended recipient. Often, a message is meant for someone of the same universe, but through very special circumstances do they have to travel worlds to get their message.
They are calm and all-knowing. There's an ethereal sense of serenity to their every word, and they bring great comfort in those who need it most. They work especially well with children. They, in some sense, work with Luther-- Luther is the Grim Reaper of this world, and as such, works under his power to bring messages from the dead to the living. They are well-revered because of their work. Their underlying motivation for the things they do is unknown- perhaps they, too, are an artificial creature, created to be solely benevolent. But it's unknown, and something they don't really consider. They work well if left to their own devices, and despite being rather kind, they prefer to keep to themselves.
Perhaps a lesser known fact about themselves is their passion for writing. They write quotes among other things down in their notebook, hopefully anticipating on compiling a work of literature linking all the people in the world together by their aspirations, their dreams. It is a passive passion project of theirs, naturally, but given the nature of their immortality, they have all the time in the world to complete it. They also have the ability to move through dreams- this is a most effective method for delivering their messages.
They have the altruistic desire to, one day, see the world become what they hope it would be- a peaceful place. They know death can't be stopped, but it is something they want to make as peaceful as possible, by granting the opportunity to give loved one's a final goodbye. This, perhaps, is what they hope to accomplish in their book.
Notes:
- Their book is rather long. Perhaps it isn't emphasized as much as anticipated, but their book is very long-- thousands of pages, stored away in their office. They have many notebooks (that, with magic, seem to have self refilling pages that transfer the writing to their book).
- Speaking of, their notebook is incredibly meaningful to them. They've only ever had one- it's made of leather, covered in various memorabilia from their travels across universes. They like to spend some time in the universes they're in and get to know the people there- they are not strictly duty-bound.
- They are.. very old. Billions and billions of years old, but they're a type of being that I'm working on for an intimately personal world.. they're one of the divine creators, made by someone- something- unknown. They help mold the worlds and universes around them as they travel, and take great pride in seeing all the lifeforms in the various worlds they travel.
- For more niche interests, they love trying various foods these worlds have to offer. They're not a picky eater at all- if anything's offered to them, they'll take it graciously.
- Has spoken to Elias. Throughout their billions of years of their job, they remember their encounter with Elias, because it was one of the few that the message was negative.

Your name. It's a simple inquiry, but one you tend to forget nonetheless. You've lived an incredibly, ridiculously, outstandingly dramatic life (and you're not even halfway there- the thought excites you!) This fact is something you take pride in.
You've been told you go off on tangents-- you can't help but feel like the people that accuse you of that have no idea what they're talking about. They must not think what you're talking about is worth their time, which is entirely their loss because you think you're fantastic. Everything you have to say has meaning- you can feel it!
Victor. Your name is Victor. You'd forgotten that, but it came to you in thinking about all the things you've told people. You like to talk about yourself, so this should be a breeze. Anyway. You're not too old (you think, anyway, that your youth suits you and you're not a day past 18), but your peers tend to disagree. There's a man in your life who is an absolute thorn in your side.
But, come to think of it, you have that kind of relationship with a lot of people.
The man's name is Johannes- you get turned off immediately from talking about him. His ego is miserable.
Regardless. You're getting off topic again. You are a Pokémon trainer- you think you're quite adept in the art, but you won't flatter yourself too much (you would, however, love for people to flatter you). You use solely Ghost and Fairy types- you think this stylistic choice has multiple meanings. To you, anyway. You think that edgy with a cute edge is a nice look on you. And a nice look for your team- never mind the endless statistical advantages (are there any? You were never the most particular about that).
You're easily agitated. It's one of your vices that you strenuously try to cut from your life, but find yourself getting more irritated at not being able to do that. It's a vicious cycle. You're always upset about it. People have called your sense of fashion odd or questionable, but you pay their words back by obliterating them in battle. After all, despite your foolish façade, you hold some presence within the trainer world.
..Despite your peers not recognizing it.
Notes:
- Victor has a weird sense of vanity. He thinks everyone around him is overdramatic, but at the same time, revels in the fact that he's dramatic and he wants to live a dramatic life. Definitely the complete opposite from my above entry.
- Has a bad temper and overall disposition, but he.. can, be nice? Not that there's many perks to being his friend, but he's generous and kind when he needs to be. Has more faults than good traits, though he definitely wouldn't admit that.
- He hates clowns.
- I'll write out his team if I get him! :^3
(HOPE YOU LIKE MY HOMESTUCK-TIER SECOND PERSON INTRO LMAO... regardless! johannes and the people i'd tie this man in with don't have fully written and drawn refs yet so i can't link them, but he'd be among a league of Pokemon Gym Leaders that i have in my boiling pot of Plot Concepts..)

☞ For "Acacia" (https://toyhou.se/1815837.acacia) I instantly thought of Nell (https://toyhou.se/2478599.nell). She'd be a human girl working as a part timer for Hell (?), opposed to Nell who is working for very little a month, Hell pays a hecka lot to Acacia to do the "dirty work" for them. Don't imagine blood and gore stuff all over! She delivers contracts and gets people to sign them (even with the absurd terms). She's really happy go lucky, even thought of her job-.
She enjoys sweet stuff, not only food, but romantic movies and awul tv series. Sometimes her tastes don't match her personality since she swears an awful lot (all while having an obnoxious smile on her face)...
☞ For Tatian (https://toyhou.se/434138.tatian#1529132) omg I loved this one- Read the species lore and it looks so original and fun too! She'd be a lost child, she just appeared out of nothing really so she started being confused and lonely- Everything seemed dangerous and scary! What was she supposed to do? what was her purpose? Did she even have one...? That, was till she met an alchemist (would make a design for them), who was fascinated with her, he began asking an awful lot of questions, he moved his hands around really enthusiastically, and... for some reason his joyful smile calmed her (even thought he didn't even let her answer his questions while asking more random things).
He decided to bring that creature with him, taking her to his home. A few days passed by, soon that turned into weeks. She grew attached to the weird human, and found herself smiling at him at times- it was weird and comforting, and all the confusion just seemed to care less... so she just stayed there, the place that she'd soon call "home" too.
^ Thinking about platonic friendly relationship. kinda like- big brother and sister :,,>.
