Hello friendos! I'm feeling rather illish today, so trying something fun to pump up my spirits!
I will be entertaining WTA (write-to-adopt) entries on a number of my characters! If you don't know, this means that you write a story for the character, or talk about what you'll do with them, their role in a story, etc, and if I like it, they're yours for free!

- All entries must be posted in this thread. Do not leave them as comments on the character (unless they are in my normal WTA section) - I will delete any comments left on the characters themselves. Do not PM me your entry, either - I want to keep track of everything together!
- Write as much or as little as you like, in any format you like! This will be judged on quality/interest however, not quantity. Show me your best creativity, and wow me! I want any character I give away to go to a better home than I've given them.
- Enter for as many as you like! Be sure to specify the character(s) by link, though, for sake of clarity.
- Please do not write things like "they will be one of my mains and I will draw them every day;" it's not realistic and we both know that won't happen! I don't care how often a character gets "used" so long as they're cherished.
- Please do not reuse any of the names or story elements I've already given characters, unless it's a generic element; I may reuse the stories even after the designs are gone.
- Any characters who are given away are to be treated as gifts - they cannot be traded or resold after! Only gifted forward or given back to me. If I find you trying to trade or sell a character I've gifted you, you will be blocked (unless the designer's ToS expressly allows trading gifts).

If I win them, they'd play a role in the story that I am currently working on and planning to tell through a webcomic! My entry is in the spoiler <3
Note: All of my characters are a subspecies of vampire I'm working on that are all part animal, their animal would be a wasp, and their skin is dyed that color, which is a cultural things for these vampires.
I'd name them Riley! They are about 25 years old, and currently being trained to hold a very important religious role. The story basically takes place around a vampire cult, the religion itself is still in development but it is based heavily around space. Riley is being trained by Bedelia, the position they are being trained for is yet to be named, but their purpose would be to study the alignment of the stars, planets, and anything else in space, and interpret them as it is believed that's how their gods communicate with them. Riley has basically gone through preparations for this role their entire life, Bedelia became a mother figure to them and pretty much raised Riley. Since this role they are being trained for is not a technical job, Riley works in glassblowing, and makes glass decorations for the casino (which is run by the cult as a way to get funds) but also has a little shop where they sell stuff and work on commission. Riley spends most of their time (when not training or working) with either the "angels" (who are just bird based vampires with their own role in this religion) Gabe, Victor, Jude, and three others who are still in development so I won't list, or at the local tattoo parlor run by Juliet and Rosaline. Riley is a very quiet and secluded person, they don't take many risks or venture far from their daily routine. They keep to themselves generally, but if you start a conversation with them they'll probably end up going on a long rant about something not even related to the original topic.
I had a lot of fun writing this! Their design is so dreamy, and I have so many ideas for them <3 even if I don't win though, this still helped me develop some of my story :) good luck to everyone else entering!

kakaru (renamed keit) would be in the same universe as my girl elyira, as a fellow immortal and first being to exist, who heads the meteor that travels across the galaxy that connects intergalactic travellers of some kind to every planet. he is never able to interact with these voyageurs, and is forever bound to his crator, with only the stars to acconpany his journey.
he is incredibly lonely, falling into a life of existentialism and numbness. he questions everything; why was he here, forever living, yet branded to live a life of solitude and unforgiving silence? what purpose did he have in such an extensive world? who would be cruel enough to do this to him?
these questions tear at him and, in the end, only one thought remains - ‘i wish to have a friend to spend my life with.’
without any warning, a small shooting star, barely visible to even keit’s eyes passed by, and for a moment he believes to see a beautiful girl smile upon him. before he knows it, it’s gone, and he thinks nothing of it.
one day, as he gazes aimlessly into the vast abyss, he spots a whimsical cluster of jars, filled to the brim with a mystic substance that glimmers brightly as he reaches for it through the swirls of space dust. he is unsure of how to react, however the mere presence of them gives keit a glimmer of joy. before he is able to snatch it for himself, it floats away, as if guided by someone else entirely.
however, keit is determined to find it again. and so, as he guides his small meteor throughout the known and unknown universe, he sorely hopes to spot another bottle of happiness and, perhaps, leave his spot to live amongst them.
maybe then, he will find the friend he desired so badly.

Entry One

His name is Davy Wreck Winston. Well the last name has no meaning, His first name is a reference to Davy Jones' locker and his middle name is a bit of a reference to ship wrecks.
Davy and his younger brother, Sonar, were raised by their mother, Ariel, and their father, Edward. They have a younger sister by the name of Brizo (who I have not drawn yet.) Their parents work at an aquarium, and the three children were often found at the aquarium whenever school was out. While Brizo was often found looking at the orca whales whenever she could, which was really just whenever Sonar and Davy decide to leave her there. But Sonar and Davy were absolutely fascinated by the sharks. From their reactions to death to them mistaking humans for seals, everything. Davy managed to actually memorize the little speech that the tour guide gave about them. He watches any documentary he can on them, and as horrified as he is by the attacks on humans, they still fascinate him. He reads any book on sharks that he can. He is an absolute sucker for movies about sharks, even if they aren't accurate or even good. He is especially curious about the megalodon and whether or not it is real or not.
The fascination with the sharks also served as a distraction from their parents. Ariel and Edward are not in a happy relationship but haven't divorced due to them believing it would hurt there three children. The constant arguing around them hurts them though. Brizo, Sonar and Davy did all they could to find distractions, and the only one that succeeded was studying something they enjoyed so much and making each other laugh. To distract himself and hopefully not hear the fighting, he'd listen to music and documentaries on his phone so he wouldn't hear them, and maybe read to avoid seeing them.
At the worst part of the arguing, and the worst time in their lives, Davy bought three hoodies from the aquarium for them. Two shark hoodies and one orca hoodie in an adult's extra large so that they wouldn't outgrow them. To cheer his siblings up and make them laugh, he would bring them to a beach and pretend to be a shark. 'Eating' them was really just him tickling him, and he was always happy to act like one for them. It got to the point where it followed him in his every day life. He used it as a mask, to hide the pain he felt. He also used it to push people away, so they wouldn't get close enough to see how vulnerable he really was.
It followed him to high school, and he gained a reputation as the weird kid at school. He didn't have any friends because of this, really. Eventually, the school counselor got involved. She tried to help Davy, trying to make him stop the odd behaviour but it never worked. She tried to get to the bottom of his behaviour. She tried absolutely everything. She gave up after a while and asked for the help of a student by the name of Sam. Sam agreed and tried to be friends with Davy, eventually getting rather close to the other. Sam's classes were changed so he shared most of them with Davy, within reason.
At first, Davy refused to talk with Sam. He wouldn't acknowledge him for a while until he finally realized the other wouldn't leave him alone, he slowly began talking to him, getting to know him. Eventually, after a very long time, Davy began to rant about him home life to Sam. He talks about his younger siblings, how they feel, his parents, how they argue, and how he feels about it all. Stressed. Upset. Scared. Unsure. He talks about how he wants them to divorce. He only speaks about it behind closed doors though, and sometimes he's seen dragging Sam away to the boy's washroom to rant to him about his life. While sometimes it distracts him from his studies, Sam listens to the other and tells the counselor what he can about Davy's family.
A few months after Davy started telling Sam about why he behaves the way he does, and that he can't stop if he really wanted to. He's tried. He really has- but he can't. He tells Sam more personal stuff. Sam tells the counselor, of course, and she does what she can to help him.

I would also like to enter for Ivira. Her name is Alberta. Skipping over the fact that it's a Canadian province, Alberta is the female version of Albert. It originally meant intelligent and bright.
Alberta is smart, without a doubt. She has an amazing memory, and while it isn't a photographic memory, she is close. It is something she believes is a gift. She often annoys her teachers because of her memory and intellect, and they annoy her. She annoys them because she'll constantly correct them on minor things, or things that are just common misconceptions. She gets annoyed because they constantly have to check to see if she's cheated on a test when she really has not. Really, other people cheat off of her test. It got to the point where she has to go to an empty classroom or completely isolate herself during tests in order to avoid the retakes for suspected cheating.
She takes pride in her intelligence, but prefers people not to know. She will refuse to let people know what her grades are with the exception of her family. She won't go in advanced classes either, out of fear she will be alienated. Alberta doesn't want people to think that just because she's smarter, they are not equal. Or perhaps a bit worse, be bullied for being smart. She really enjoys people and the socializing, she really wants to avoid those scenarios.
Alberta is often seen going to parties if she can. She actually really enjoys them. From the food to the people at the party. If she can go to one, she will. She's often seen dancing and talking. Really, she isn't someone you'd think would be smart. In fact, people thinks he's dumb because they don't see her studying, however, she doesn't care. She knows she's smart, and she does homework and does well. She honestly prefers that people think of her as dumb. It makes her make them look good.
It really doesn't help that she goes along with it and has valley girl dialect. She says the words 'like' quite a bit and is often on her phone in class, however that is mostly just so she can take notes. She, for a while, has pretended to be dumb. She is over playing it a bit, to the point where it got a bit out of hand. Its hard for her to act different now. While its a mask for her, she feels like she can't get rid of it. It is part of her at this point. Alberta doesn't thinks he would be able to remove it if she wanted to.
She is friends with Dulcibella, a girl who acts rather violent. Alberta knows that Dulcibella is actually rather sweet. She took the time to get to know the violent and rather feared girl to get to know who she really is. The two of them get along quite well actually. If people try to bully Alberta, Dulcibella is there to intimidate and scare them away. They often study together, and Dulcibella is one of the few to know about how Alberta really is.
Another one of her friends is Ciara (profile is not yet complete), a rather diligent and professional lady. Sometimes her tongue will slip and she'll say something bad about Alberta and her intelligence, but Alberta doesn't care. She wants people to think she's dumb and Ciara accidentally insulting her just encourages her really. Other than that, she stands up for Alberta by talking to the person and either intimidating them or simply making them regret it by making them sound like they are the absolute worst for bullying someone. Ciara is the only one in their friend group who does not know that Alberta is actually smart.
Ruari (profile is not yet complete) is her childhood friend. Alberta met him when the poor boy was being bullied... and Alberta did not take kindly to that. She stood up for him, helped him up and started to talk to him, telling him that everyone else were idiots. And when she introduced herself, the boy started to use hand motions. Alberta had no clue what was going on and began yelling when the boy wouldn’t answer her. When she finally figured out he didn’t talk, she apologized and hugged the boy. Really, she’s been hanging out with him and sticking up for him ever since. They get along very well, with both of them sticking up for each other in their odd ways. Alberta thinks of him as the brother she will never have.
Alberta gets along with her family quite well. While they annoy her at times, all families do that. They do argue over what Alberta should do once she graduates though. She wants to be able to teach kids and hopefully pass her knowledge on. She would love to be a high school teacher. Her father wants her to work with the government, and her mother would love to see her be a lawyer because she gets very passionate about human rights. The rest of her family agrees for the most part and will say things just to upset her. "Our kind (those with animal features) should be slaves to regular human beings." "The LGBTQ community should have no rights." "Women should be barefoot and pregnant, waiting loyally for her husband." Just to make her angry and actually argue against it. It gets very heated and very bad sometimes, but she knows they don't mean it. It just hurts to hear that and be reminded that some people still think that.
Alberta enjoys video games. It really doesn't matter what video game it is, if she can play it she will play it. From Super Paper Mario to Undertale, she loves them all. She doesn't have enough patience to play any visual novel games though, she finds them too slow paced. She's thought about starting a YouTube channel (will likely change the name Youtube for reasons), but she's never gotten around to it, but she may in the future just for the fun of it.

I will be doing something different with this entry, and I’m hoping it works.
Her name is Cibil, which is a name for a fortune teller who can predict the future.
Cibil has expected to be pulled aside by the head master, and she already knew the question that was coming. The teacher had seen it coming, but she didn’t know how to answer. Her power worked in an odd way. It would show her the most likely future, but it would not show her response to it. The most likely future would shape around her response to something. While it gave her a little more time to think before it happened, sometimes she still was unsure of how to respond. Now was one of those cases.
“I know your power, how it works. I know you are acceptional at magic, but you never told me how it started, how you ended up here. Your story. Is there a chance you could tell me?” The headmaster was trust worthy. She knew. He’s never let her down before. She believes that he would never betray her. Besides, if people find out about her power and how it started, it wasn’t the end of the world. She just didn’t talk about it much.
Cibil takes a deep breath and takes a seat, keeping herself faced towards the other. “I do not know when my power started or when I developed it, but my best guess is that it developed when I was a child. I know what to avoid in school, the test questions, TV shows, how someone would react to something. It got a lot of teachers suspicious, but when I passed what the tests they gave me to make sure I didn’t cheat, they left me alone.
“I, of course, still made mistakes. After all, no one is perfect. I didn’t realize until I had begun to realize that other people couldn’t do what I could. They couldn’t see things minutes or days or weeks before it happened... they just... went along with it. I was about eleven when I finally realized it.
“My parents saw an opportunity. A good mine. They sent me off to a school were I could learn how to develop my power and forge my own weapon. I found out that I was also good at magic, and had used it to... enhance my weapon. It was originally a crystal ball. It could separate, and I could shoot shards of glass at people. After I used magic to alter it, it could store smaller crystal balls which would empty out of the main one. They would be hurled towards the victimg of it, and they would break in impact.
“Another thing my crystal ball could do was aid me in predicting the future of other people. However, it wouldn’t let me go too far into the future. The furthest I’ve gone at that point had been one month. My parents wanted me to come home as soon as I learned that, but I refused. I did combat training and worked with magic as much as I liked.
“One day, however, there was an explosion in our magic classroom. I was too close to it and ended up blind. I was one of the lucky ones... but I found I didn’t need my eyes. I would see the most likely future of me taking a wrong step and tripping. The scariest part of being blind was adjusting to my power. Some things did not happen. I avoided the future of me bumping into a wall, of me grabbing a random person. It was... scary I will admit but at the same time, I learned to live with it.
“I lived with my parents as I was getting used to being blind, but I still did practice with magic. One of my favourite things to do to practice was to experiment with my crystal ball. I found a spell that actually attached a blind person’s sight to an object but the must be doing a certain thing.
“At first, I wanted to attach mine to something that I could do quite a bit so I could see again... but I decided against it. I wanted to but decided that I shouldn’t. I was just getting used to not seeing, to using my power. Yes I relied on it, but I was developing it. I was learning about it. So, I attached my sight to my crystal ball. I can see when telling the future of another person. I do have to know exactly what I’m seeing in the crystal ball to accurately predict it too, so I think I made the right choice. It was around that time I began wearing a blindfold.
“I continued on like his, making money off of telling people’s futures and living in my parents house. You know how I ended up here though... you came to me asking if I could tell you your future. It was when you were looking for teachers... and the rest... you know about the rest of this story.”

Cibil is a very powerful woman. From the weapon she made to her skills with magic and, of course, her ability to see the most likely future. Don’t let her blindness cloud your judgement, as she is a very dangerous opponent. Her students don’t know that she’s blind, with the acception of one, Gaea. The other was on her team when the student got hurt, and Gaea knew quite a bit about Cibil.
Cibil is not cryptic or mysterious. In fact, she’s one of the fun teachers, having fun with her students by telling them ridiculous and funny stories that would be in their future. Quite a few students enjoy her.

His name is Javier-Kearn. The first part of his name is a Spanish name meaning bright, and the second part is Irish and means dark.
Javier-Kearn grew up as an outcast. He ran away from home at a young age due to many people in his home town making fun of him for his ears and tail. He was sick of it and finally left. He was still an outcast for being part wolf, but he lived with it. He took any job he could and worked hard to earn a living. He was eventually taken to an orphanage, but he was still bullied, however he liked to believe that it wasn't as bad as it was when he was in his home town.
It got particularly bad one day though, when a group of students decided to pull him aside and beat him up before he could catch his bus. Javier-Kearn panicked. He started to fight back and, due to stress, he used a power he didn't know he had. With his right hand, he could control fire and dark. With his right, water and light. The two kids ran off out of fear, leaving the poor boy scared and confused. For the second time in his life, he ran away. He traveled for years, refusing to use his powers but losing control. It wasn't until he was about eighteen when he finally accepted the fact that he had these powers. He searched everywhere and eventually found a man willing to train him and help him.
The other was a teacher and parental figure to him, teaching him how to control his powers. Helping him develop them, and exploring everything he could. The other even helped him make his weapon. A whip. It is yellow and transparent, and the whip can be made circular. With a little help from magic, the whip floats above his head like a halo. The devil's wing and the angel's wing are actually daggers. The handles fold over. Again, with a little help from magic, they float next to the halo. After years and years, he finally got it under control. He thanked his teacher, and went to start his life.
He met people, married, had a child, and, somewhere down the line started the Power, Magic and Weapon Academy. He started it to help others learn how to use and control their powers. While it was being built, he went out and found people to work there and teach students.
He's become rather mature and wise due to his experiences, however he knows that he will make mistakes. He's human, He is bound to. He's vowed to protect his students and the staff member, keep them from being hurt if able to. He has failed on occasion, and he grieves over every failure. That is what the dream catcher necklace is for. For every failure, he adds something to it. Whether it be a bead or a string. He lets his students bend the rules and get away with some things, depending on what it was they've done. Some students he's strict with but that's only because those are the students that has always been allowed to break the rules, getting everything that they want. Sometimes he will allow it, if it has helped someone. But if it is mindless, then they are punished accordingly. He is very flexible and easy going, ready to change whatever he needs to change if something comes up, like adding weapons training to the school.

backstory:
Diana came from an ancient clan called "Protectors of the Stars". Each of their kind are born from the creation of a star. With each creation, follows a responsibility. With that being said, Diana had the fortunate fate of watching over Antares. Antares, being apart of the Scorpius constellation, had given Diana a higher representation for the commoners of the clan. They had came from a poor family, and a lesser known one at best. It came as a shock to the royal blood when a commoner would be in charge of the star with such importance, especially in a constellation! Ever since she was born, her parents had praised her for such fate. They wouldn't have to live by each ration they were given a week, and that's something the family had dreamed of. Diana had the opportunity to treat their family well, and they were going to take it. Of course, everything had it's downfall. The royals of course weren't as pleased with the news. They would have to deal with constant comments on their appearance, threats towards their family, and even attempted sabotage to Antares! When a star goes out, the Protecter will soon follow. It's a very dangerous idea to even play with, but the royals would do whatever it took.

Personality: Fate is a relaxed being, easy to please when it comes down to it. He's not as strict as his brothers, and is incidentally, the strongest out of the four. He's strangely kind, and often will look into his black book to change an event that might cause a persons life to go from good, to bad in order to prevent this change. He goes with the flow, and can be hard to upset. He's easy to get along with, granted one can tolerate him spacing out of occasion to try and remember what he was doing before talking. Fate is dedicated to his work, and will defend those he's close to with every fiber of his being, especially if those he's defending are his brothers. Fate is essentially a child personality wise, as a variety of things fascinate him, though he will immediately silence himself if someone says they're getting annoyed with him. In a case such as that, he'll simply go to another room to stay out of their line of sight, and sit by the nearest window to try and bundle up any excess energy he may have accidentally let out.
Strengths/Powers: The large book he carries around holds the name of people living, and dead. This allows him to track where people are, and see their fates. He is free to alter them, however it takes a lot out of him, meaning he rarely does this, simply letting their fates flow freely. Fate holds the ability to hide his faun appearance, to instead manipulate himself to appear human, and blend into society. Though he rarely uses it. He can use the book to communicate with the two reapers, or gods of death as many know them. Fate may peer into someones past if he wants, though often refrains from doing so
Weaknesses: When altering someone's fate, it takes majority of his energy out of him, rendering him utterly useless until he's recovered. The time it takes to recover this energy depends on how much he used to alter something. If it's a major event, he may be bedridden for weeks, if not months before he's well again.

Personality: Damien is quiet by nature, sitting back and observing new people he's never met to determine whether or not they're a threat to he or his 'family'. He does have a tendency to stay around people he's deeply familiar with whether it be in public or not as he detests being alone; or stuck in the same place for too long enjoying the feel of the wind on his face or dirt on his hands. Raised in what was essentially hell, however Damien has grown to love the hotter climates, and holds little tolerance for the cold (or anything under 73 degrees if that could be considered cold). Loud noises irritate sensitive hearing, often leaving him with headaches that usually last for weeks on end.
Strengths / Powers: His observant nature tends to unnerve enough people to where they leave him alone, and 'frail' appearance hides a strength he's easily able to tap into in the event he needed to defend friends and family. Being raised by a demon in what could be called Hell, Damien has a high heat tolerance and is often the one voted to do a grocery run in the group of his friends in the hotter weather.
Weaknesses: Nervous in even short social interactions with a new person, Damien never quite knows what to say. Emotions often run rampant and with it his strength—he has accidentally shattered many glasses and cups in his time— though his most prominent weakness would have to be his sensitive hearing, as just a loud enough noise can potentially leave him with a mirgraine lasting for weeks.
