Welcome to the Sanctuary! corgi-butt Sanctuary, that is. Here you can do various tasks for characters! It's super simple. Interested? Let me tell you what you have to do!

Doggy Treats!
"What are those?" you may ask? Doggy treats can be obtained through many tasks, and be used to pay for characters that you'd like! It's very simple, really! Draw someone, you get treats! Send someone to the Sanctuary, you get treats! It all adds up!
I've sent you characters before. How many Doggy Treats/DTs do I have?
Everyone is pinged to a bulletin with their total! If you don't get the ping, you can check up on your total here <3
I sent you characters but you didn't give me my DTs!
It takes a while for me to count them, at one point I got so backed up it took me 3 weeks to finally get to them and count them all. I have to go and check who sent me each individual oc, count/add their DTs, and then decide where the oc goes. That's for each character. So, it takes quite a bit of time.

What kinds of characters do you/do you not take?
I take in: Feral, Anthro, Human/oid, dollmaker made ocs, ocs with only 1 image, gore, simple ocs, ocs that have just been made, characters made specifically for the sanctuary, and much more!
I do not take: NSFW characters (It's super hard to rehome characters with NSFW art! There's already a few building up!), characters with no art at all
What's the purpose?
To give unused ocs a new start with someone who'll love them!
Are there any claiming rules?
PLEASE only claim ocs you'll use. There's now a 4 oc limit you can get within 2 days, unless you can tell me what you plan to do with them ^^
Do you hold?
YES! 1,000 times yes. It's not a problem at all! Sometimes if I'm busy I just hold the ocs someone asked for and send them later.
Can I resell them?
Yes! It's appreciated if you don't take gigantic offers on them though, but you CAN take offers since you traded in a few ocs/drew art for them! Just try to not get them and sell them right away tho? The purpose of this thread/account is to rehome characters to nice loving homes. <3
Do you do take backs?
Not really ^^" It's a huge pain to deal with.
Why didn't you respond to me?
At one point I was gone for 2 weeks because I was so busy, I just completely forgot to get on. Sometimes, I THINK I got back to someone, but in reality, I COMPLETELY forgot to. Sometimes there are so many I just forget to get back to someone.

What's a new event you'd like to see in the future? What would it be about? Any prizes, maybe? How about a contest where we have to do something involving a character that we've either gotten with DTs or one that has been given to us that has found a loving home? (I vote for emphasizing writing over art, as authors like me often get shoved out of the winning slots in competitions over artists.... it's gotten old real fast. If you want both categories, do two different categories for fair chances, and maybe 2 different judges ^^ )
What are some new ways you'd like to see to earn Doggy Treats? (Optional)
Drawing art for a character up for sale and maybe if you spend enough DTs you get a set amount of points free?
Should I host a few DTAs that don't take away your treats? (Draw to get an oc and keep all your treats!) Yes! Not everyone is good at art and it will make people not want to enter if they lose all their treats just because they weren't the best artist.

I think you shouldn't accept dollmaker characters unless they have extra art. They barely require any effort to make, unlike hand-drawn characters. There's also the rule in TH that you can't use images you don't have permission to use, so..

Corgi's Trade Shop, maybe? The "Freebs" in the title is kind of misleading as the characters aren't actually free. I shortened Corgi-butt to just Corgi because it's easier to remember ^^

I think a raffle would be pretty interesting. If someone has donated or drawn a certain number of characters, they can join a raffle where the winner will get a free character. Maybe people can also donate prizes like art :D

Writing about the characters you're keeping, maybe. Not everyone can draw, so being able to earn Doggy Treats through writing a backstory or description of your characters would be helpful :)

I think someone mentioned this before but a nice, simple directory in the beginning thread could be nice, even if it's a free user profile kinda thing. Information can be concise and easy to read. Another thing that might be a little easier for you is employing a moderator or vice president so it's not just you doing all the hard work and getting back logged. Perhaps they could have a discount on certain characters if they help you out.

I do have quite a few ideas but they seem like a lot of hard work and with no where else to go so hopefully you can do something with them. Perhaps everyone participating puts a character in a pot and whoever wins gets at least 2 characters and first pick, then second gets one, then third and so on and so forth until everyone has gotten a character even if they didn't win. or you get a theme and you have to submit a character with the theme and a backstory and then those who don't want to be kept could be put in the sanctuary. The prize could be what I said above.

Because you may have an excellent drawing of a character but the backstory isn't as what could have been expected or the writing could be extremely detailed but the drawing may not reflect that either so it will make it a little more fair for others participating.
