Non-Character "Characters"

I know TH is a character storage site, but there are some "characters" that definitely aren't, for example profile coding templates and masterlist entries. I feel like it would be a good idea to have maybe a box you can uncheck or a drop-down menu in the character select screen for when you're uploading these non-characters? And then maybe they won't turn up in the browse list, and possibly some other limitations idk.

In a different but related vein, some people rp on toyhouse, and some of those rp in fandom worlds. I feel like it'd be convenient to be able to add limited characters, possibly directly and specifically to the world, for when you're rp-ing as a canon character? And also just to add NPCs to the world that you wanna post as but don't want to make an entire new character for, like shopkeepers & etc. And those definitely shouldn't show up on the browse lists. Currently I've been doing this by posting as myself and just adding the character name on top of the post, but it's kinda . . . comparatively untidy :/

So yeah! Character streamlining for the first one, and extra world functionality for the second one!

You can make a world and add pages to that to organize layouts and masterlist type stuff, but I prefer this first idea.

For the second one, you can always make a sub tab of some kind, but you'd still have to make a main "character" to store the tabs.

+1 This would help with things like; Charcater Directories, Masterlists, Species information, and other.

Oh! This would be great for plushes and clothes and such. Also, a cleaner section for smaller characters would be nice, too. I'm not AS hyped about that idea as the first one - if I had to choose only one, it'd definitely be the first.

But definitely:
+1 on both ideas.

oh, this would be great!

nitrogoblin

these would be great for those of us too who have species sheets, objects, or fake religions too for our series.

Nice ideas. I have a complicated story and have a few non characters which are there to explain the locations and the lore of my species, and being able to have a separate category for them could be helpful.

Some of us use toyhouse as more than a place to host characters, but lore and world pieces as well. Sometimes this requires some tediousness, perhaps in the option to control and create our own classifications in of our personal style of worldbuilding. Species, planets, items, technology, organizations. As for linking, Perhaps to have the category appear as a type of link to distinguish from eachother? I might be too complicated for my own good, but these are things that I have made profiles for if important. For now, if they come up, I just make a folder for places and things.
More or less what I’m bothered by the most is the short titles for names. Is there a reason for this? For naming places, it makes things challenging.
