i have quite a few characters, and am self conscious about my high character count. so for some characters (such as one-off fandom characters fueled by my hyperfixations) i upload them as a tab on a character archive profile. however, sometimes i end up getting connected to the character and want to separate them into their own separate character profile so they can have links + it just looks and feels better to me. ive done this myself before and it took quite a while to transfer all the images, other characters i want to do the same for have even MORE images so it would just take far longer than im willing to spend doing that. i also want to keep the comments/favs and the creation date (creation date is because i like to celebrate this as like their birthday, for some characters of mine its quite important to me so i want it to stay the same instead of being months out)
i feel if this were to be implemented it would be similar to the option for deleting a character - so there is a checkbox to ensure you definitely want to separate the tab to its own character profile as its irreversible
and also, as an example of what im talking about this is one of my characters i want to have their own profile
+1 in both directions (OC > Tab, Tab > OC)
It's been suggested before ( [turning existing OC into tab] [turning split tabs into OC] [another turning existing OCs into tabs] ) with also the ability to turn existing characters into tabs and yeah it's mega needed. As an oldie who was there before tabs were implemented I have a decent amount of characters that are AUs all uploaded as their own chara because tabs weren't a thing at the time (I'd love to turn them into tabs but they all got hundreds of images that yould take forever to move). I also have 1 or 2 tab-OCs that deserve to be their own listing at this point as well.
+1 I want to make it separate for some of mine with high image counts but don't want to reupload/tag again.
