This has probably been suggested before but I didn't see a thread so w/e. So I've learned through some friends that general Standard Practice™ for closed species MYOs/adopts is that you credit the species owner as the creator, and then add whoever designed the MYO/adopt as the designer. However there are situations where you'd need to add yourself as a designer, such as with an MYO slot that you bought or got through an MYO event and then filled on your own.
This leads to an odd quirk in the system- for some reason, designer credit is not programmed to auto-accept when you're crediting yourself, leading to a rather humorous, but simultaneously annoying notification where you have to accept your own request to be added as a designer, and then have the site tell you that you accepted your own request.
I'd love for this to be fixed sometime in the future.
