Does Ivan have any living patients?

Yes! when he needs to be, or more like when he feels like it, he can actually be a rather good doctor. If someone isn't really worth his time messing with more, he has no problem with fixing them up and sending them on their way.

Is anyone nearby suspicious of him or his methods?

Most people haven't heard of him before, and those that do return from his clinic were generally treated well, if a bit coldly. His younger brother (who really needs a th page..) is his largest skeptic, having been at the receiving end of his malpractice before, however he's considered a bit off himself, and often isn't listened to.

When has he been wrong before, and what happened as a result of that?

oh i like this one. With learning any skill, you're going to make a ton of mistakes, even when you eventually consider yourself to be good at it. If Ivan in the stage of his life now were to make a mistake he would deem stupid (like something he shouldn't have messed up) it would probably be a crack in his high self-confidence that he couldn't ignore, it'd eat at him constantly. He'd start making more and more mistakes as a result of being so on edge until he breaks.

Why does Ivan treat his patients with malice?

I think he sees them as fodder for his learning rather than actual people. He also has very low patience for behaviours that annoy him, which quickly leads him to have not the best bedside manner for a doctor.

Does he have a real medical license?

....Not quite. While he is genuinely skilled at medicine, he dropped out before he got his license. But no one needs to know that.

Heather is mean just because she wants to be , can be , and knows she'll get away with it. Though some it might have to do with her mother leaving Heather and her father when she was younger... (I'd elaborate but that part is still in the works)

And yes, some people have stood up to her, but it doesn't do much. Heather will either laugh in their face at their attempts or she'll do some digging to find out what she can use against them to put them back into their place. There are some student's she hasn't been able to get any dirt on but thankfully most of those students don't really bother her or give her a reason to find anything. And as for teachers , it's a small school with a small amount of teachers, so she has managed to find or even create dirt to put on most of her teachers. All Heather asks from her teachers in return for not releasing the blackmail is that she won't get punished for her bullying, and like most irl teachers , there are a few who weren't blackmailed but just don't care enough to do anything about her.

I've always been a fan of the villain/mean girl characters growing up, so I took some inspiration from a few of those characters to create Heather. The name Heather (and a few of her qualities) were inspired by the movie Heathers and the blackmail/intimidation parts of her bullying were inspired by Sunset Shimmer from Equestria Girls.

What inspired the creation of this species?
I was trying to work the stymphalian birds from greek mythology into my world! >You can read about them on Wiki<
I tried a bunch of different designs, from actual metal birds to mechanical gryphons, but nothing really stuck? I was trying to work in winged humans at the same time, and at some point I stayed up to late and mixed the two while working on a new character XD
I thought it was weird at first, but I kept writing them and they was badass, so I made them a thing! 

Why are Stymphalian kids taught to fight from such a young age? 
Oof, old history there. They were invaded by the nasty conquering sort of people way back in the day. At the time the wingy people weren't great at fighting and it almost cost them homes and lives. They got some help from some dragons though >:D
Afterwards they made sure to raise them kids up tough. It's just a part of their culture now I guess!

Are they endangered if they don't? 
They can be! Their world is filled with monsters and people with bad intentions lol.
Most creatures leave them alone, but there are beasts out there who can bite through stymphalian wing blades! That may or may not be the reason Sam gets stranded on the island with Sonii lolol

How did Sam get into photography?

Huh, he would have been exposed to cameras early with the amount of knowledge he has.
Maybe one of his parents had a job the required camera skills? Oooh, and maybe they gave him their camera when they were done with it!

Shvy almost seems like she's been set up to be a main character! Is there some great story set up for her? Is her immortality going to help her defeat something? Also, I know she worries about her lack of personality. The ability to worry about it clearly means there's enough going on in her mind to develop a personality, is this worry a mental construct? Does she believe this when it's not true? Or is she honestly empty?

In what ways will Kaimana protect the sea from disruption?

He mainly ensures the sea life's safety, taking care of injured animals and just making sure the ecosystem is not being harmed and is keeping its natural balance. He doesn't protect the animals from each other, though, knowing that they simply have to predate on each other to survive and that the sea is not so kind. He even hunts himself to sustain himself, but is always very careful of not taking more than strictly what he needs. He will, however, fight tooth and nail to protect his sea when it comes to foreigners trying to intrude, destroy and senselessly kill the sea and its creatures, something that has happened much more often than he would like. He'll fend them off with violence if necessary, to prove to them that the sea will not just be silent and accept this intrusion like it's nothing.

However, despite this, he won't attack any foreigner without a good reason. If they seem suspicious, he'll keep a close eye on them, but if they prove to mean no harm, he'll happily let them pass and move on with their life. 

Why does he like to spy on the spectrels living on the land? Does he want to join them?

Despite his love for the sea, Kaimana is very curious about the life on land and how different it looks from the life in the water. He doesn't really want to join them as he is very happy with his life in the water, but he's always one for learning new things. He also really likes their food, it's one of his favorite things about the life on land.

Does he have hobbies or interests besides swimming?

Other than swimming he's a passionate explorer, always curious and willing to go somewhere he has never been to before. Living mostly on his own, he also has taken up cooking, more out of necessity than because he felt like it, but has really come to enjoy it and mess around with all the different and weird foods he brings back from the land.
