I’m amazed by the traction this thread got! We had over 250 posts when I unfortunately had to close it, and now I'm bringing it back! It’s so much fun to read profiles I might not have otherwise even found, and then get to dig deep into their backgrounds with questions! I have seen a couple of people say that they might want to ask me questions; this is 100% NOT required and if you just want to drop a character and come back to answer questions, you are valid in that!
But if you DO want to ask me about my characters in turn, I would recommend Apocalypse Tokyo! (Although you’re free to venture into others, of course!) This is just my active folder that I work on regularly. Or, if you want to ask about an underdeveloped world, "of the rising sun" is my new project. Once again, NOT required. Dorian is deeply caring and kind, but also arrogant and selfish. When does this arrogance show through? In what ways is he selfish? Why does he dislike ginger? Does he have a phobia for tight spaces, or just a general dislike? Growing up in a society that treated hybrids as servants/slaves, why did Dorian regard them differently than other people might? Was this because of a close relationship with his nanny? Or something else?
Why is Heather so mean, what happened to make her like this? Has anyone tried to go against her? What happens when they do? Are there any students or staff she couldn't get dirt on and therefore cannot control? What gave you the idea for this character?

Her attacker, I imagine, is a someone that attended the same festival she did. My concept is that it was someone who travelled from another town/city to attend said festival, and fled before she was discovered, and they remain unidentified.
Why does she like music boxes?
The music box idea mostly came to me for the aesthetic, but if I were to give her an in-character reason, it would be because she finds the way music boxes sound to be very pretty and soothing!
Why does she dislike nightfall, and forests?
This is because of her demise, mostly. She lived in a mountain, very foresty town and she was killed in the dead of night (no pun intended) on a very foresty path. Even with the trauma of death and reincarnation being present, she still has gut feelings about them whenever she finds herself in any of these. A "this feels very wrong, but I can't put my finger on why" sorta feeling.
What inspired you to create this character?
It was a vocaloid song, "In a rainy town balloons dance with devils"! The song itself tells a much darker story than what Ran has, but it was the main inspiration behind her design and story!

Why does Val'gan refuse to use his human form?
Val'gan refuses to use his human form because it is the appearance he has to take around his family. Val'gan is known as a very high ranking demon in the realm, and his parents are not so high in that ranking, therefore his parents force him to be more like them. When he is away from them, he takes his demon form as he feels like he can just be himself.
Why is he passive aggressive in nature, is he friendly to anyone?
Val'gan can be a very friendly person when he wants to be, but because of his upbringing, he can have a negative attitude very easily. He doesn't have many friends but those he does have, he is very warmed up to.
His job as a guard also makes him lose his temper easily, since he has to deal with others who break the rules.
Who or what wiped his memories?
This is a very important part to the story. As mentioned previously, Val's parents are lower ranks. Lower ranking demons raising Higher ranking demon children are at risk, because they tend to be more aggressive and dangerous. Val has a brother who also happens to be a higher demon, so bringing them up together proved to be too much of a challenge for his parents. His brother Cerberus went with his mother, and Val went with his father. His father wiped the memories of him and his brother so they wouldn't clash again in future because of the split of the family. All in all, His father (Who is a mind control demon) wiped their memories.
What is he doing to try to get them back?
Val never actively knew he was missing anything until he heard wolves howling one night. After that he felt like he was home sick, like he was missing someone or something. He asked his dad but was told no answer. Val then snuck around, looking through important files that he shouldn't have been touching, and he found a few family members he had never heard of. He even started becoming unloyal to his father just to find out what he was hiding. He eventually gets his memories back, but at a price.
